Reviews
"Very informative and helpful about putting my anxieties to rest travelling to the Philippines. Lovely staff !"
"My 15 year old son needed various vaccinations for a trip to India. I phoned the clinic to book and everything was explained to me and I was pleased that I could pay for each vaccination separately rather than have one big bill. On the first appointment he had an extensive consultation before the injection. My son is not keen on injections so this could have gone either way. It was down to the experience of the staff that they made him feel confident, comfortable and relaxed. They really helped to make him feel at ease. The staff are extremely knowledgeable about the job that they do. I was given clear information about what he required. I had previously seen my own GP practice and what they had told me was confusing. The vaccinations were also cheaper at Masta and I wish I had got all the ones we had to pay for at Masta. I will certainly be returning there for the cholera immunisation as it is more than £20 cheaper than my GP practice. The lady on reception, Stacy I believe she’s called, is amazing. She’s an absolute credit to her employers. All the nurses have been brilliant, in particular Elisa, who had a lovely rapport with my son. I would highly recommend this clinic."
"My 16 year old daughter made an appointment with her older sister in preperation for a trip to Ghana in April. She had a yellow fever vaccine. She was not asked if she was accompanied by an adult or guardian which didn't bother me until their return from her appointment. Despite advance thorough research and medical advice from our GP, the practitioner that she saw quite frankly tried to bully her into having a jab that is formally listed as to be considered not essential or recommended. It would have been a course of 3 injections at £60 each. My daughter was told she would not come back alive if she didn't have the vaccine for rabies and got bitten. There were four times she was told how fatal it would be. The lady even aplogised for being morbid. This is totally unacceptable behaviour for a professional clinic. We have researched further how rabies is contracted, it's symptoms and what happens. The vaccine creates a delayed response but hospital attention is still required. My daughter explained that her location is near a hospital therefore immediate attention is available. This did not deter the practitioner from repeating her sentiment. They came back disturbed. This behaviour should not be allowed. We met another family going on the same trip and they experienced exactly the same fear. It appears to be standard practice at this holiday clinic. Do your research first would be my advice."
"Staff were very friendly and helpful. Appointment was quick and to the point but still maintained a friendly and calm atmosphere."
"The actual injections etc. were fine and staff seemed friendly. It was only when I reacted to one of the vaccines I called the clinic for some advice that the problems started. I want to make it clear: I know there is a risk of side affects with any vaccine, I was not blaming anyone , all I wanted was advice on self care. The receptionist was extremely dismissive telling me it could not possibly be the vaccine and refused to let me speak to a nurse. In the end I called my own GP and spoke to the nurse there, who was much more helpful and agreed my symptoms sounded like a reaction to the vaccine and even went to look up what advice to give me."
