"Tom was really helpful on reception today, resulting in a call from the duty GP, who again was most helpful and considerate, putting a plan in place to assist an elderly relative. Such a shame so many pressures exist on all our services today, it’s an impossible situation. Thank you."
"The Last few years since being taken over by beackon has been the final straw for this surgery! Doctors/staff leaving ..... The service is appalling. Shame on this once committed health service!"
"Very poorly managed and bad communication, mainly internal. Very rarely will you get to have an appointment with a doctor let alone your own GP. Instead, they will try and fob you off to the pharmacy, only to be sent back to the GP. Sad, because the last doctor I spoke to was fabulous."
"The doctors and nurses are great however the actual management of the Beacon Medical Group is shocking. It is nigh on impossible to get an appointment to actually see a doctor. Phoned many times only for their automated system to hang up on me! I drove up and was met by an unhelpful receptionist, who was shocked to see me as I made my way through their no longer applicable Covid measures. The surgery door was meant to be locked and you could only be buzzed in. All restriction were lifted 3 weeks before this happened. I was greeted with a look of surprise and "Do you have a doctors appointment? I replied I have come here to make one. You need to use the phone was her reply, My reply your system keeps hanging up on me. Her reply you need to use the phone... you can see where this was going. Tech guy appears and says "oh people are being kick off calls and the waiting time is more than 30 minutes". No customer service or care. Chaddlewood used to be a great surgery, since Beacon it has gone down hill, so sad."
"Spent 15mins filling out their forms online for someone to call me back for advice. They called me back only to tell me they would not help me because I no longer live in the area. I was sent a form to fill out, I wont lie, I did forget to send it back. But I was NOT told that I had been removed from the list and that I no longer have a doctor. I now have bad symptoms and no one to help me. It takes 2weeks to register with a new practice...what am I supposed to do?...left to self medicate and to hope it doesn't get worse. Really upsetting and very surprised they are allowed to do this?"
