"I have had two encounters with the trained pharmacist "young male one" twice I have felt judged and vindicated. I had an emergency regarding my phone and money in my bank account due to my mental health decided to divulge the truth as what was happening to me which was mortifying for me. I transfer money to my Dad and snapped my sim card on Monday to avert drinking alcohol. The young pharmacist assistant when asking to use the phone treated me like dirt and I had never asked for anything before. If he couldn't let me use the phone to call my father that's fine but do not treat me like I'm not a human being. I am and still very human. I had and have had many years sobriety but relapsed on the 5/2/21, l left a pan on and my house burnt down as a consequence of me drinking so to say alot is at stake is an understatement. The pharmacist knows this too! I never asked for anything from them before just they gave me a free item to pay at a later date before because I left my card at home. It was for around £2.50, wow just absolutely wow, like WOW did he think I couldn't pay £2.50, for the love of God! So much judgement from one young individual with no life experience. As I'm on benefits but was a social worker with a masters degree in this myself I can eloquently express myself and am sure the chemist has been able to identify my character by now. As not "a chancer" "a loser" "a con-artist" "a thief" who cannot pay their way. Training is needed urgently for "him" and some other staff member which I will get to next. I am just a human being with mental health problems and a severe physical disease, going through the worst time in my life with everything happening at once, who also had a good life and job until my mental and physical health deteriorated 5 years ago, and consequently I ended up on long term sickness benefits. I am not a degeneratrate, I don't drink but that once in years, and l manage my mental health well. I had relapse in my mh last year in the lockdown it was ocd, so of course I do not drink because clomipramine would not have eradicated my ocd. I had no phone to contact him my Dad so here's where I asked the pharmacist for help as I couldn't contact friends or family. The baritatas at Costa know my character as a paying customer and a decent human being who has been having a tough time since January. They let me sit in and use their WiFi yesterday for free so I could email my Dad to transfer money back and ask for a new sim card from Vodafone where I have unlimited everything on a monthly contract. I am leaving this chemist permanently due to this treatment Last summer a chemist assistant told me "you look like a weirdo" but" you look calm on the surface" but "weird" " and " you might look weird when you are well, maybe your just a weird person" exact wording. I was having a nervous breakdown at the time and didn't leave my house for two months because of this comment. Worst still another operative just stood and let her talk to me like that. I had to convince "young man" that I needed my prescription delivered due to a painful cyst Edit- I left this chemist after said incident with the young pharmacist When I went back to get a one off prescription they barred me on the grounds I was rude to staff. I had one incident where he was rude to me. Or more neurotic than rude I've looked into this further and discovered from a staff member the owner decided this as a personal reason. On further research I can report it to the board of pharmaceutical conduct. Not because I will ever want to collect my medication from there but because simply i wasn't rude Ironic as it was a staff member who was rude to me when I was very unwell I now have her name, so said staff member who called me weird see above i-m ensuring is reported too, she spoke to me too to tell me l was barred and it was the owner who had done it...so unprofesssianal. See you guys soon ...you picked on the wrong vulnerable adult! This is not about the young pharmacist he was kind bar that one misunderstanding. We even said say hi when i went in."
"Went today first time after my local loyds has fallen into a shambles over last few months ...no staff no medications shocking hwve now moved to harts so welcoming friendly clean and was in and out in 10 mins hsve moved all my prescriptions to here well done harts"
"Called to order my monthly medication only to be told the batch prescription from the doctors had not been received, found it impossible to discuss with SUE who constantly spoke over me and then handed me to another colleague saying I was rude which I was not. Atrocious customer service on this occasion with SUE needing some training I think."
"I was struggling to support my brother with his various medications. I spoke to the pharmacist Sam, and he offered to go through it all with me. I took all of the medication and the list from the hospital into the pharmacy and Sam was absolutely wonderful. He painstakingly worked through the list, and created a new user-friendly chart which provided me with the means to clearly understand what I needed to be doing. He was very patient, and I was extremely grateful for his help. Also, in general Harts have been excellent with my brother's prescription. Definitely on the ball!"
