"I moved my business to Kalirai and Co almost 18 months ago and it has been amazing. Not only have they been very responsive in helping with accounting matters but also a good ear for business guidance and growth. Would highly recommend"
"I have appointed Kalirai & Co as my accountants and would highly recommend them. As a relatively new business owner and working as a sole trader I went to Surrinder for advice and guidance on the direction I should go next as my business continued to grow. I had a very informative initial meeting with Surrinder and after giving it all some thought I decided to go down the route of setting up as a limited company. I also wanted to set up a payroll as I was bringing an employee into the business. Surrinder and his team have been extremely efficient and have guided me through the whole process. I know should I have any questions they are always available at the end of the phone. Everything has been transparent and I feel very happy to have the support of Surrinder and his team. I can now sit back knowing all of my payroll, annual accounts and mandatory returns will be taken care of. I would highly recommend Kaliri and Co accountants for any other business going through a transition period who need some advice and guidance."
"Just this early afternoon (29/09/21) I visited one of the 'Kalirai & Co' offices in Bradmore, Wolverhampton, in the hope of seeking some tax advice and getting some answers to some general questions. Upon entry I was greeted by a young gentleman, who told me that the accountant wasn't available at that time. He did however suggest that i could book a face to face appointment for later this week to discuss my queries in greater detail. I do so, leaving my contact name and phone number. Shortly after leaving the office, (perhaps within an hour or so) I was contacted by Mr Kalirai, who initially left me a voicemail. There was no real reason on the voicemail as to why he had contacted me but I assumed that this may be to reschedule the original appointment. Upon contacting Mr Kalirai back, there were no formalities from him (i.e. 'thank you for contacting us', and/or 'are you available to talk?'). Perhaps Mr Kalirai is one who opts to get 'straight to business' with new clients, which may even be fine for some, but in general assumptions should be kept to a minimum. In any case, (and unfortunately), Mr Kalirai was nothing short of very rude and abrupt. Mr Kalirai sounded all too 'rushed' to clarify the nature of my earlier visit. As the discussion hurriedly progressed, Mr Kalirai began asking me a series of questions once I had put my two queries to him, including; - whether I was higher tax band payer or lower; and - why I hadn't taken advice previously before making a particular tax management decision. This was more of a statement too, rather than a question. I was quick to tell Mr Kalirai that I found the 2nd remark (above) particularly unnecessary, but this went unacknowledged. To add, these are questions I would much rather have preferred to answer face to face rather than being hurried along over during a phone call. Perhaps I am the exception. But in any case, Mr Kalirai manages a business that I'm sure is doing its best to serve the needs of its customers, many of which may be local residents. It would be a word of advice for Kalirai & Co to ensure that it treat its ALL of local residents (and the wider community) with a degree of dignity and respect. Few points for future reference; - do not call potential clients to carry out a discussion particularly if a face-to-face meeting has already been arranged. If matters are urgent or if certain days are not available and said meeting needs to be conducted over the phone at least ask if the party would mind speaking over the phone first; and - do not insult a potential client's intelligence either with short churlish remarks, such "you should have sought advice first". Any efforts made to stress that said ‘advice’ was provided ‘free’ of charge and this is somehow the extension of a favour, is muted on two grounds; 1. if said 'advice' comes at the cost of being spoken to rudely or without the proper courtesy, it is debatable to the extent to which it can be considered 'free'; and 2. the office window has a large sign that says "FREE initial no obligation consultation" I am more than willing to discuss my own experiences with Kalirai & Co with any potential parties that would like to know a little bit more if they feel it would help them make a better informed decision on whether to pursue these services or not. Kind regards Nuvi"
