"Worst surgery ever! Receptionist don’t answer the phone then when you eventually get through to them they say call later or out of doctors hours or call in the morning and so on…and all that after hours to be on hold.Think it’s time to change something or just get new receptionist who knows how to deal with patients."
"Let me start by saying that the staff are lovely and the doctors are brilliant. However the issue lies with the office management. It is not unusual to wait 20 or 30 mins to get through to reception. Today I called at 8:29am (it opens at 8:30am) and I was second in line (the phone system tells you this) and I had to wait 37mins to be moved up next in line. Totally unacceptable. Sarah Jane (the manager I believe) you need to look at your rotas or staffing levels because the system you have in place is NOT working. I tried to email the surgery to let them know this but there is no email on the webpage and I'm not waiting another 40 mins to get through to them......."
"Worst surgery ever! Receptionist don’t answer the phone then when you eventually get through to them they are so ignorant! Think it’s time to get new receptionist in who know exactly how to operate phones and have proper customer service"
"Update: I've decided to give it 3 stars instead of two (since 1 star is minimum I consider this to be 50% as you cannot rate anywhere 0 stars) many of the old complaints are still there however they have definitely gotten better from the way it was 3 years ago. However getting certain workers to write a "to whom it may concern" letter is proving very difficult, I cant enter the practice due to current events (wuhan fever) and don't want to waste the time of staff by making an appointment simply to get a letter drafted. I don't like having to wait for callbacks either so an email system would be excellent. I'll have to say that I've had very positive experiences with Dr A Bell over the decade or so that I've attended this practice. He can be a bit sharp at times but he is an excellent GP and does seem to genuinely care about his patients. With other doctors however it's a roll of the dice, though this may be simply the fact that the NHS, especially in NI is underfunded and very much taken for granted in a revolving door sort of manner. I would like to see improvement. My 2 year old (as of time of editing) review where I gave 2 stars is below: Having been going here all my life in the past five years it's really gone down the tubes. For example the receptionists are terrible, due to inclement weather my pharmacy had to close early and it was imperative I be warned, so I could pick up my prescription early. Apparently my pharmacist spent ten minutes arguing with the receptionists.ish trying to get my personal contact number until he had to be put through to a gp. As for me, the receptionists are the same, you'll wait at LEAST ten minutes for them to pick up the phone. The nurses are possibly the best, most polite and professional workers there. The newer doctors are terrible, with one telling me a chest infection was "just a pulled muscle" until I ended up in A&E because of it. The older doctors who have been with the practice a long time are the best, but sadly most; if not all have either gone private or retired by now. They would actually hear you out, the new doctors look at you as if you're there simply to waste their time and fob you off with a prescription of over-the-counter medicines just to bundle you out the door. I don't know whether they have too many patients, or they just don't care about the patients they have, either way they have terrible bedside manner. These two stars are for the one older doctor who I think still works there and especially for the nurses, who have a great attitude, unlike the rest of the staff."
