"Most people wearing masks as requested. Still some not wearing them. Staff all very efficient"
"Been with this doctor my entire life and despite needing a GP plenty of times, I've only ever been able to get one a couple of times. The most recent time I got an amazing doctor, she made me feel so validated and supported, I wish I could get her every time-or remember her name! But the main issue is actually getting through to them. It's impossible. Today alone I called over 100 times (during the allocated hours to speak to someone which is only half an hour!) And got no answer which is completely normal here"
"I do not usually leave reviews but so many negative I felt the need to balance a little. I had trouble getting through on phone for over a week but tried few times got appointment within a few weeks which is normal for NHS as not urgent they are very busy doing bloods in blood clinic did not go to treatment room. nurses very good and lovely. passing reception area heard man being rude to receptionist trying to speak to a doctor. The queues were all very long and we all need to calm down and give the staff a break they are doing their best. People seem angry when told their needs not very urgent. The medical people must prioritise folks and be fair to everyone and there are some very sick people who are much more urgent. shouting at staff is rude and stressful and upset me to hear that and small children about. Wise up. In blood room sign up to say number who do not show up for appts, this was shocking and a waste of time make mor effort. Management and staffing not prob of nurses yet they get stick from all of us so complain to those who can do something about it. Gp receptionists you can see are stressed out. Kenny good doctor my husband’s doctor Dr Chapman also very good staff lovely on reception desks always politely explain how it is which is all you can ask for. I am also sure GP never 9 to five job. NHS is on its knees read the news folks and think before you holler at staff there are signs to remind you everywhere short staffed not just here."
"Absolute disgrace. Ringing the treatment room for over a week only to be told there was no one to answer the phone. Then they change the answering message to call between 9 and 1. you call between 9 and 1 and they tell you to call between 9 and 1 on an answering machine. You do know that you can have a doctor outside of Bangor. Absolute pathetic disgrace"
"I have been very impressed with the Castle Park Practice over the whole pandemic, especially after hearing negative experiences friends and colleagues are having with other Health Centres, unable to get speaking to a GP at all. Over the past 2 years I have always got speaking to a GP over the phone, and been brought in if necessary, receiving any treatment/prescriptions needed as normal."
