Reviews of Roman Way Hotel
"Didn't manage to stay here as our booking was cancelled by the hotel as they had a large party booking and took this as priority..if this is how they treat customers I would advise you not to book this hotel as they obviously do not care about individuals and look more at profit.."
"I would not trust this hotel I booked two room for a week while we were working in the area check in was fine looking all good got to room not so good the extraction fan was that loud felt like I was at airport next morning after a chap night sleep I thought have a shower got in shower to find it freezing cold went down to reception and asked them to sort ,went to work that morning upon arrival back went to room and found nothing done fan still loud, no hot water went down to reception where they admitted they been having problems with the hot water for months as they were no help we decided to hand keys back and leave hotel Isince I have left we have tried contacting through emails and phone and they don't won't to know regarding a refund no way to run a bussiness why rent rooms out when they know there not safe and no hot water due to this we have decided to take the company to a small claims court this company should not be trading STAY AWAY DO NOT USE"
"The room was dated, limescale on shower head and shower curtain had seen better days. No mats for bathroom floor which is a massive slip risk when getting out of the shower. I was stranded 100 miles from home and my original hotel had double booked me so I needed somewhere to stay and was charged 83 quid which was raised from 71 within an hour and was set to rise again. It prays on vulnerable especially if this is your last resort in an emergency and there's no food or drink available so if your diabetic make sure you being something with you I had one pillow and no extras in room. We came back in from night out and front door was unlocked but not once did the security guard check who we were or if we were guests of hotel. There is no facility to lock door from inside so anyone could pick lock the handle if they wanted. For 3* hotel I expected more cleaner and modern hotel with better facilities."
"Fantastic value for money hotel but badly let down by the fact the local bus service finishes at 4.30 pm Very clean room and fantastic customer service. The highlight of the break was how hot the water was for the bath which was a bonus. Unfortunately the bar and restaurant closed end of June bit ypu have a beefeater across the road and can order takeaway food for consumption in the big size twin rooms. For £25.00 per person per night for accommodation only it was well worth the money and I will definitely be returning. The earlier you book the more chance of getting cheaper room rates."
"Had a wonderful overnight stay. Very clean and the bed was amazing. Bath was just pure heaven and suite was very spacious. Only negative was bulb was out in bedside lamp and they had put towels in the bathroom but not shower room and toilet paper in shower room but not bathroom. As we were only there one night it didn't matter but its attention to detail and as it was the honeymoon suite, only because nothing else was available we took this room. For the extra cost to a normal double you expect it to be just rite. But lovely stay and would recommend it."
