"Lovely hotel. Clean room although laminated floor rather than carpet. Grear view over the golf course. No tissues in the room. Nice pool & sauna. Breakfast not served until 8am on weekends."

"Nice hotel, recently refurbished I believe. Comfortable beds, friendly staff, good leisure centre and pool, only issue was the temperature was uncomfortably hot and the hotel really needs to address this. Hence 4 stars for rooms."

"Lovely wedding venue that my daughter is using for her wedding in january, we visited to take a look around with some of the wedding party and have a meal on site, sadly hospitality is lacking in some areas , receptionist on arrival was absolutely lovely , waiting staff were lovely , attentive and helpful , food was well portioned and tasty. There must have been a shift change while we were dining as sadly the staff were non-existent when we tried to pay the bill!! The receptionist yesterday afternoon was very grumpy looking and not very helpful at all when we asked how we could pay for our meal. It took her forever to acknowledge we were waiting at the desk, and then there was no smile, no verbal acknowledgement ,nothing, just a miserable, grumpy look!!! Rude and unhelpful attitude for someone who is the first face guests see when they arrive at the hotel, would a smile and a warm welcome really be too much to ask???"

"Really enjoyable stay, nice location, greenery all around. Extremely friendly, sociable, helpful, welcoming staff in all areas (reception, bar, restaurant, household). Comfy rooms, very nice beds. Stayed with dog, £10 pernight supplement. Dogs allowed in brasserie bar for breakfast and evenings (water bowls available). Buffet breakfast, all cooked freshly (great bacon), tasty pastries, fresh fruit etc. Brasserie evening menu good, fish & chips excellent, chili & rice less so. Close to A38 artery road; narrow Devon lanes to the north."
