"Although Michelle was lovely and the services available are reasonably priced, the spray tan I received was too dark for my skin tone and gathered around my hands, feet, elbows and shoulders and I also had some missing patches on my legs and back. I followed all the pre-and post spray instructions carefully so unfortunately I just don't think the tan used here is for me."
"very disappointing. Burnt my lip and could not leave the house for days with the redness, pain and peeling. Went back, was given cream to put on it, asked for my money back and was refused, despite the awful experience. Hugely disappointing and quite frankly poor business management. The least that could have been offered was a voucher for another treatment if money back was not an option. Handled terribly which is a shame because I frequented here often previous to this."
"Hugely disappointing. Have been going here frequently for facials and lip waxes. Recently had a lip wax and it took off a layer of skin on my lip and was burnt quite badly. Had to miss work and university because it was impossible to cover up. Was given cream to put on it to heal, but asked for my money back and was refused despite the inconvenience. Generally quite poorly handled and disappointing business management. Will not be back."
"You get what you pay for. The salon is slightly shabby and tired looking but the services are good enough. My big problem with this place is the receptionist. She's grumpy and terrifying! I had to change an appointment once and even though I was within the cancellation period she was so rude about it. It's totally put me off going again which is such a shame because the owner is really friendly!"
"I recently had a horrible eyebrow waxing experience at this salon. It was my first time visiting and I had hoped I would be greeted kindly or welcomed, but the lady at the front desk just told me to sit down. I was then told to come back to the treatment room where I met the girl who would be doing my eyebrows. I said hello and she brusquely said hi back. I asked her where I could put my bag (as I couldn't see a shelf or rail to store) and she just said 'Where ever you want.' Which left me the choice of the sink or the floor--so I chose the floor near the end of the bed. She didn't really talk to me about what I wanted, but just went right to work. Now, I'm from overseas so maybe this is standard in the UK, but I've never had any facial waxing that used cloth strips. I've only ever had low heat, stripless wax. Here they use cloth strips and it hurts like a mofo. Also, every other time I've had waxing done the beautician will press down on the area after they have pulled the wax off which immediately alleviates a lot of the stinging. This was not done. My face felt like it was on fire afterwards. I've had *a lot* of waxing done and this was by far the most painful. When she finished waxing that was it. She didn't comb my eyebrows or look to see if they needed a trim or tidy up individual bits with tweezers just 'okay you're done'. She didn't offer to put any cream or oil on my eyebrows--nothing. So, I collected my bag and paid. As I walked out, I realised there was still bits of wax on both sides of my face and a bit still in one of my brows. That is just ridiculous. On a non-beauty note, they have a fishbowl in the front part of the salon with three huge fish in it. The bowl is way too small for the fish and also completely green and slimy. I feel awful for the fish and am feeling pretty sorry for myself after that experience. I wont be returning."
