"I have been a patient of this practice for 60+ years and have never had any cause for complaint until the past couple of years. Appointments are now frequently cancelled at the last minute, not just for myself but for several other family members. Upon requesting an emergency appointment in May 2022, I was told the earliest I could be seen would be November 2022! I decided to make a November appointment for a checkup and seek emergency treatment elsewhere. I was most fortunate to obtain an appointment with Jordan Dental Care where I received excellent treatment and I couldn't rate that practice highly enough. Today, I have been informed by Clear Dental Oldpark Road that my November appointment has now also been cancelled with no offer of an alternative date! Unfortunately, it is evident that Clear Dental Oldpark Road no longer offers an acceptable code of care for their patients and it is with a heavy heart that after a lifetime relationship I bid them farewell."

"ABYSMAL This dental practice has gone downhill at an alarming rate since covid 19 came into being. I have been attending this practice, when it was owned by Townsend and Donnelly, for more than 40 years but since Clear Dental took it over it is unrecognisable and not in a good way. My last actual appointment was in Dec 2021 and I was shocked to see how the waiting room had deteriorated into something that was so foreign to this long established practice- it was like something you'd expect in a developing country, not here in Northern Ireland. At the end of that appointment I made another appointment for the next available date, 9 weeks later! I put the time and date into my phone calendar as I stood at the reception desk but when I returned in February to the said appointment I was told by the receptionist that I should have been there that morning and could not now be seen. I told her I work mornings and would not have made a morning appointment but she was immovable. She asked if I received a text message to confirm my appointment to which I replied "no, not on this occasion". She checked her computer and said somehow the text messaging had been taken off but she would reinstate it. She made another appointment for me...the next available one was 3 months away 9 May. On 4 Apr I received a text message to say that the appointment had to be cancelled and I needed to contact them to reschedule. I did that on that day and the receptionist told me the first appointment she could give me was 25 May but because she knew I would still need a followup appointment she also booked me in for 8 June. I was just about to leave the house today to attend my appointment when I got a phone call to say it needed to to be cancelled. ...surprise surprise... it wouldn't be so bad but I rang yesterday afternoon to ensure it was still going ahead and was told " Oh yes".. I even received a text message after that call confirming my appointment. This practice deserves an award for the worst customer/client service in the industry. If it were free you could possibly make an allowance but it's NOT. Will my appointment on 8 June actually happen??? Who knows, but if you're thinking of registering with Clear Dental, think again!"
