Reviews of The Coffee House
"Went in for breakfast and wished I had not. I ordered a bacon cob it was the worst I have had. The bacon was rock hard and the cob was stale and falling apart. My wife and son had scrambled egg with beans on toast. The eggs were in some sort of white runny sauce and the beans were cold. Absolutely our worst food we have had ."
"Went there on father's Day for brunch. Queued for ages to then overhear that they'd run out of breakfast ingredients so weren't doing any breakfasts. They didn't tell us in the queue. This was at 1050, and they opened at 1030! Very disappointing. Staff were pleasant, but not well organised. Felt like they hadn't organised themselves for father's Day, they could have made a lot of money from the people who left. We ended up having some cake but that was stale. I wouldn't eat there again."
"Food was lovely when we got it. Problem with till though meant waiting for ages to be served"
"During recent months this once good restaurant has deteriorated. The food isn't as good and the cutlery, on more than one occasion, didn't look as though it had even been washed with food still stuck on the knives."
"Excellent service. Delicious coffee. Never too busy. Always soya milk available. I come here often as is good value and friendly. A bit of a hidden gem for good quality coffee and breakfast."
