"Very rude receptionist who informed me a child has been refused treatment for not attending since Covid"

"Pleases avoid this dental practice!! I had infection. This dental practice told me you I need to book in with hygienist which I did they told me to book two appointments. Which I did but made my tooth worse! I ended up go to my GP and got antibiotic which helped and got rid of the infection. GP told me they charged you for nothing you needed antibiotics not hygienist for a deep clean!!!!"
"I joined the practice a few years ago after my dentist moved here. As someone who has experienced bad dental treatment in the past, coupled with struggling to get numb - and having multiple dentists disbelieve the fact I could feel pain and carrying on anyway, I found it hard to find someone who I could trust. After a filling fell out I went to get it re-done here by a different dentist (during this appointment decay behind a front tooth was found, but I was told nothing needed to be done with it). I emailed around 6wks after to say I could still feel pain in the filling but my email was ignored (when previously I would get a kind response). I also mentioned that the dentist touched on me being able to get partial dentures in order to give me my back teeth back so I wouldn't have to chew with my front teeth (that are already chipping and cracked).. again, no answer to this. Having left my older practice to come here, and no dentists taking on patients in my area I felt I had no choice but to go private - hopeful to finally get pain free & that they would have more time for me. Two £100 consultations later (finding someone trustworthy) I was told decay under the recent filling was still there, and that the decay on the front tooth should not have been left either (as it would only progress being the size it was).. I've had to borrow money for the filling to be re-done, and for the treatment of the front tooth cavity. I have emailed Aspley once more explaning my situation and that I'm incredibly low due to the amount of pain (and work that seems to be ongoing), but again no answer. Whilst I appreciate it's not fully this practices fault as the situation of current NHS dentistry is pretty dire, coupled with the ridiculous points system, I'm resigned to the fact NHS dentistry doesn't have a place for someone like me who needs ongoing care. I thought I'd finally found a practice that I could feel at ease, but having treatments where decay is left behind just isn't acceptable and I've lost trust once again. I still have toothache on a daily basis, and my fees for private care just get higher as I borrow more money. I don't have money for partial dentures either. I solve one problem and another presents itself - life has become miserable & my mental health is just about rock bottom. I shouldn't be forced into unaffordable private care, it's not fair. It was difficult to leave this review as I sincerely trusted my dentist and appreciated her support in the past - it's difficult to come by."
"Went today for my final appointment they have been fantastic from day 1 so professional and understanding thank you so much big high five from me"
