Reviews of Ben's Farm Shop
"Absolutely atrocious service. Stood to be seated for 5mins. Sat down got a coffee that was the last we saw of the waitress. Other people where seated and food orders taken. We sat for 30mins and wasn't asked for our food order. Finished coffee paid and left. Prices are stupid high as it's a farm. Won't be going back to the café"
"Pretty disappointing. It used to be really good but it's changed quite a bit. As of December you can no longer eat their deli items in the cafe and instead have to choose from a relatively boring and fairly expensive menu. I would have left but my wife had already ordered and was really hungry. I'd have been happy to have paid a bit more than the takeaway prices and had something I actually wanted from the deli. Instead I had two thin slices of bacon on a huge, fridge cold piece of bread which took 25 minutes to arrive despite it being very quiet. Lesson learnt; I will chalk it up to experience and make sure I don't eat here again."
"Great selection of healthy food. Sadly, it stops there. And I will never visit this shop again. Why, because of absolutely terrible service. This was the 3rd and last time, but as for my recent visit. We went together for lunch. Sat at a table that 5 people had left. It was covered in dirty dishes. We sat for 15 mins and watched the incompetent staff been poorly managed. They spent more time talking than working. So eventually I had enough. I left, but first complained. Oh we are busy. Yes, busy talking. When your tables are full, you should be staffed to cope. You pull your socks up, stop talking and work hard. And as I said this very poor service was not limited to the restraunt. Don't even talk to me about the service at the butchers counter. Never again."
"Very well stocked with fruit and vegetables, I didn't see anything out of stock. Produce in excellent condition, based on the 10 or so veggies I bought. Amazing variety of goods inside, all health-conscious. Prices reflect quality and rarity of finding produce elsewhere. Spacious area inside, too, although the several short aisles are quite narrow. There is a cafe with different closing times next door. Shame I missed it!"
