"Always a good experience, a very popular venue so can get very busy. I visited on a day teachers were striking and a vey large number of people (including me) arrived within a very short time for lunch. Waiting time obviously lengthened, but the staff worked flat put and kept things moving."
"We visited on Tuesday and we didn't have a good experience unfortunately. Me and a friend both ordered a cheese and chutney baguette. The bread was dry. We pushed the fillings into one part of the bread and they only filled a small part of the bread. The cheese was pre grated, the bread not buttered. The dressing from the salad had flowed down the plate and the baguette was swimming (olive oil?)...we had to wipe it off with the napkin. Maybe the baguettes were yesterday's or maybe they were part cooked ones that had not been baked. Staff didn't ask how food was, we left a lot. Very disappointed. The toilets are very unpleasant. Felt like food served then abandoned, left to find someone to pay. We won't return. We didn't complain as I didn't want to make a scene."
"A friend who lives in Tavy brought me here in early 2022. This was a place where she'd go frequently with her partner. We were a group 6 friends, & it was my 1st time there, but after experiencing their service, food, & the surroundings. It won't be my last. Loverly food, & I may of over indulged on the pudding."
"Lovely peaceful location, although you can't see the river from the outside seating due to the high wall and steep bank down to the water. Food great, service excellent and reasonably priced. Although the signs outside say food served all day, they do actually close at 3pm on Sundays."
"Due to staff shortage we had quite a wait for our food, not their fault, but when it came the battered fish looked over cooked and my panini was cold. But due to wait didn't bother to say anything. The wait for our drinks was quite long as well! I was quite sad about this because I've always had great service and food here in the past and took my visiting family there for lunch. This hasn't put me off as I'm sure it's a one off."
