Reviews of The Dirty Onion and Yardbird
"Visited Yardbird yesterday after it being on my 'to do list' for sometime and I was not disappointed. Very busy when we arrived...1.30pm...but luckily they had space for us at the bar area. The waitress was friendly and chatty and drinks were with us in minutes. I ordered the spicy burger with fries, the burger was Amazing!. Recommend the Awsome sauce I think it was called, like a spicy garlic mayo. We then went down stairs to the dirty onion bar for a couple of drinks, quite busy but served quickly and nice friendly atmosphere."
"We had guests in town from abroad and we took them to Yardbird for dinner last night. Got seated and then tried to order a drink. I eventually caught the eye of a waitress who said that our table was not hers, the waitress who covered our table was on a break but she would take the order anyway, thank you we were so grateful. We then moved on to order our food. This went smoothly but it did take a considerable amount of time for the food to reach the table, and I saw others who had come in after us being served before us, we were not in a hurry so no problem. We had ribs, half a chicken and a burger. The ribs came with sides but the chicken came with nothing, or at least I was offered nothing except a dip and that was it, not as much as a lettuce leaf. The chicken was fine but very lonely. Those who had the ribs said they were dry and the fries were a bit rubbery. All in all a disappointing evening, and I will not be back until I hear the venue has improved."
"We were in Yardbird for dinner. Loved everything about it. The food was off the charts tasty and was reasonably priced, the surroundings and atmosphere were just up our street, relaxed diner style feel but the standout element was the service from the waiting staff who were attentive and friendly and who went above and beyond without being in our faces. Highly recommend."
"So like most other tourist I wanted to find something “authentic”, but I was starving and needed a quick bite to eat. What happened was I stump across an amazing chicken joint and a super fun pub. The food was seriously delicious. The fries were perfectly crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. And the overall vibe of the bar downstairs was just so chill yet energetic"
"The food was really delicious, the chicken was so soft. There is a variety of dips to compliment the dish too which was really tasty. However, I felt as though the chips weren’t the best. The service was amazing and really attentive, the servers are really friendly too. Overall, we had a really good experience and will be back for more great chicken"
