"Beautiful place and a great landlord xxx"
"Under New Management, Great Family Friendly Atmosphere, Great New Decor And Very Clean, Toilets Been Cleaned And Decorated..Great New Cocktails Being Served Too..Great Sized Function Room To Hire With Own Bar"
"While friendly I did get the feeling the land lady wasn't sure where I had wandered in from. It was empty. There was a very limited selection of beer and drink. The place was grubby. The toilets were basic and lacked a soap dispenser or hand dryer. There was a dirty cake of used soap on the dirty sink to wash ones hands. Not even hand towels. Closed at 9. Really early. A huge property so lots of room. Not going back if i can help it."
"The price is the only good part of this pub due to shocking management. The place is old and tired and the landlady adds pound shop flowers to the toilet to make it pretty? Doesn't work! Theres always at least 1 drug dealer and you normally find said landlady sitting on their knees. She lets people down on party's and the kitchen is vile. Any food she prepares (for pool matches etc) is food poisoning waiting to happen, if she remember there is a pool match at all. Everything is always the breweries fault, including when they 'forgot to renewal the licence and had to close for a week, a week that people had parties arranged but she didn't let them know until a couple days before because they were in a different pub and people made her tell them. On that note she's mostly always in another pub leaving her staff to man the place alone and rest of the time she's pissed up trying to serve people. I really could go on but I won't. Enter at your own risk!!"
"I'll start at the only good point, it's cheap beer. Now for the rest... The current land lady has no business sense whatsoever, to the point where she would kick out a pretty full pub at 8pm and then proceed to go down the the next pub (The Peacock) and drink there. I'm not even exaggerating. The tills never have change so make sure you take the correct amount. The pub was recently shut for a week because, wait for it... they forgot to renew their license! The interior is shocking with outdated fixings, damaged stools and tables. I'm told the womens toilets never have tissue paper and doors on the stalls that don't lock. Pretty much every time I've been in there I've witnessed some sort of drug deal or drug use. Bar staff are great though and would probably agree with everything I've just written. All in all, I suggest walking another 4 minutes down the road to the Peacock."
