Reviews of Neighbourhood Nottingham
"I’ve deleted my original review from 6 months ago as there’s been a change of ownership. Unfortunately the standards set by Will are no longer evident. My first visit was shortly after opening & too soon to judge. On my second visit (05/07/2022) I found things hadn’t improved. My flat white barely contained any coffee. The dairy-free coffee & walnut cake was dense & had a soggy bottom, the ‘buttercream’ was vile & the sponge didn’t really taste of coffee & was stale. I’d visited on a Tuesday & the cake appeared to be leftover from the previous week. I wasn’t enamoured with the service either. I didn’t get a chance to speak to the new owners as they were busy & I couldn’t catch their attention before I needed to leave. I’m genuinely disappointed because it’s a lovely place, plus it was mine & my sister’s favourite coffee shop & was the best in the area."
"I stumbled upon this lovely little cafe today and was so pleased! It has a really welcoming atmosphere and the people working there were so friendly. Great pastries and coffee for good prices, will definitely be coming back soon!"
"What a lovely cafe! Our first visit and definitely not our last. A lovely atmosphere, fab background music, lovely art on display and books and records for sale too. Dog friendly which is a big plus for us. Sausage sandwich was tasty, a lovely cuppa for me and hubby enjoyed the coffee too."
"A lovely place. Nice selection on menu. Cakes and excellent variety of sausage rolls. Pleasant background music and lots of vinyl records and variety of books to purchase. When busy, may have to be patient for your food, but we'll worth the wait. Must say had a relaxing and happy time."
"What a treat! I walked into Sandiacre from stanton-by-dale today by complete happenstance today and passed by this cafe, turns out it's only been opened four days, so it seems it was meant to be. I was immediately drawn to its clean modern interior featuring a gallery wall of local paint, print, and photography artists and an entire wall of books and records for sale and perusal. Fun, but unobtrusive music and a great latte made this a wonderful break in the day to enjoy reading for a while. The owner, I believe his name is Will, was friendly and engaging and has very obviously put a lot of thought and love into the place. It's to sort of cafe you'd expect to find in a city centre and I am thrilled it's so close to home, I look forward to coming again!"
