"Physically Assaulted by Security Guard!! Multiple women claim they have been assaulted by the same man at Aldi please see other reviews relating to violent security guard harrasment , humiliation . I visited the Aldi Crown Wharf store on Saturday at around 18.20 on 7 January 2023. I picked up 4 items paid via the cashier and went to leave. The alarm buzzed so I went back to the cashier to deactivate the items that I had just paid for. She motioned it was okay for me to leave whilst the security guard was stood next to me. He aggressively asked for my receipt and to look in my bag. I was fully compliant , another staff member came over and also asked to look at my receipt and in my bag. The security guard then proceeded to inquire about my movements prior to visiting the store. As I had fully proven I had paid for my 4 items costing £12. I walked through the exit. The security guard followed me and aggressively grabbed me whilst I was completely vulnerable and had my back to him. I was in alot of pain after being assaulted and immediately called the police to report the incident and get help from them. I stood outside the store begging the police come and help me as the Aldi security guard had just attacked me. Whilst on the call to the police 3 male staff from Aldi surrounded me whilst other staff watching in amusement laughing whilst I was petrified and in fear for my safety. I was crying due to my horrific ordeal but no one seemed to care including the store manager even when i was complaining that the security guard had just assaulted me. I had fully proven my innocence by showing my receipt and bag contents muliple times to multiple staff with the customers watching the ordeal play out. I have been left mentally traumatised and physically injured by the assault. I have given a full statement to the police . No man has the right to assault a female. On previous reviews people claim they have been denied copies of the camera footage. There is a legal requirement that all companies must provide personsl requested data, this includes telephone calls, camera footage, photos, electronic and hard copies. If you require any data that relates to yourself you need to request a Subject Access Request. This is normally requested in writing so best to email the customer service team so there is an audit trail. There is a legal requirement that the company must provide all data requested within 30 days or they can be subject to fines. Data relating to yourself cannot be refused. Google Subject Access Request for further information and the complaints process if companies are not compliant to the rules. I am one person talking about my experience so please don't just look at my review. Please read all the other reviews at this store. In my opinion there seems to be a pattern of similar complaints. In my opinion men that use violence against women don't do it as a one off and its usually a pattern of behaviour that gets worse. Aldi don't seem to care about how their security guard treats women as he still works there !!!!"
"Security guard at Aldi is aggressive and violent to female customers. Why is Aldi allowing this to happen. I have read multiple reviews on this site and there is a common theme of violence harrasment , humiliation multiple women being assaulted and aggression against women."
"Security guard is unprofessional and aggressive towards women.. Purchased my items from the self service, my partner was standing at a separate checkout purchasing shopping in cash for our elderly neighbour as we do in the same way & in the same store everyday. Once I'd paid for our items I went and stood next to my partner with my bags all packed, the girl at the check out called over to ask if i wanted a receipt and i said its fine ( we go in everyday we know what we buy is what we want so dont tend tonget a receipt for a few bits) .. as I left the shop the security guard dragged the trolley from me and started accusing me of stealing, i explained the receipt situation & showed him the payment on my phone but he didnt care and was addement the items wasnt paid for, i then fetched the girl on the checkout who came and informed him I had paid but the receipt had been left behind but she had dealt with me personally and it was a misunderstanding but he still continued to humiliate me in front of people outside the store knowing I had paid for the items In my bags . He then told me I was banned from the store when i asked why he said " because i can " Never have i been so insulted and humiliated in my life.. Shopped in the store everyday since the day it opened as we shop for my mom and several of our elderly neighbours and to get treated in manner this is far from aceptable. Stear clear if your a women the security guard is a bully! Luckily it wasn't an elderly or vulnerable person he treated In this way. No respect for customers what so ever."
"Conveniently located in the town centre an walking distance from loacl amenities. Great price's Great value Fresh produce Friendly staff"
"Well its finally here, Aldi in Walsall! And about time to! Lovely big store with nice wide aisles. Everything you could ever need for your home and food and drink all under 1 roof. First day opening very busy all day long, im sure this will quieten down as time goes. All the usual favourites, food on the go, super 6 and the special buy aisles. One bonus of this store is the new self checkout tills which speed things up. Parking is only free for the first hour and only if you spend £10 or more ( but i think theres a concession at the moment as the store finds it's Feet ) few fun and games this evening watching the shoplifters ( usual suspects ) get caught by the excellent work of the security guard and the staff supporting him. Ill be shopping here every week!"
