"I really like this park - it has a lot of beautiful old trees which also attracts birds so you feel a bit more 'in nature' than in a lot of parks. Also there is a cute little kiosk where you can get a coffee or an ice cream. Only issue is there are a lot of dogs here that are not under control - off lead and freely roaming around while their owner is not paying attention on the other side of the park. There is a section of the park where dogs are not allowed though. Also the toilets are frequently in a disgusting condition or just closed altogether which is a shame, but I guess the council just doesn't have the money to sort that out at the moment."
"Went to find someone at the depot in st Andrews park. Wanted to alert someone about children breaking ice in paddling pool and playing in it. Not Babb's lake but not too safe. Park caretaker works a very early shift but there is now a burst pipe next to one of the cabins. Not enough charge on my phone to wait for the various robots on the phone line. Sylvia Horn."
"A lovely little park in a very overbuilt area. If you live locally, it's probably the best to offer, if you come to visit it good luck finding somewhere to park. Fantastic play area for kids, lovely open green space with wildflowers, trees, seating... But Zero gates, practically no fence all the way around which makes it quite terrible for dogs that love chasing squirrels or even worse cats along the many roads surrounding. Edit. The park did not feel like a safe place for kids. There were several creepy men going around, especially around the water part where kids were enjoying the pool. It's a concern anywhere, but it is a real shame when parents don't feel like their kids are safe in a park"
"Medium sized park on the side of a fairly gentle hill with plenty of sunny and shady spots, large trees and a children's playground. A general nice relaxed ambience whenever I've been there. The addition of the kids splash pool is also great in the good weather"
"Great place, very safe environment, physically and figuratively. Loved it! For all ages, but with an intense focus on families."
