"Order went through wrong on their app (which owner disputes because he made the app and it couldn't possibly have messed up) and my "meal" arrived with no rice. Phoned Dark Burrito to get told it's what I ordered so they won't be rectifying it (which is what I asked for) or offering a refund (which I did not ask for). Upon the request of the owner, I sent them the photo attached to this review showing what was received but he clearly felt charging £11 for it is okay (not sure trading standards would agree! and personally I feel like I have been robbed!). The owner went on to tell me they weren't sorry! My family and I have been regulars with them and have spent a lot of money there so to receive this response from the owner was shocking to say the least. The way in which he 'handled' it is appalling in my eyes. I was completely dumbfounded by their reaction and lack of customer service. Not happy enough with his response the owner took to social media with a smear campaign against me claiming I had threatened to give a bad review in order to get a refund (which is simply untrue!) and that I gave his staff nothing but abuse over the phone (again absolutely false!). He posted our whole conversation up underneath his smearing and DISCLOSED MY FULL POSTAL ADDRESS AND MOBILE NUMBER for all to see! Of course I had been blocked so I wasn't aware he had done this until I received several screenshots from friends informing me! On advice from my solicitor and the Information Commissioner's Office I sent the owner a data protection complaint because he had no lawful basis or justification for disclosing my personal and confidential information to the public! He responded too quickly, clearly not giving time to process and get advice on how to respond. He offered up a very flippant apology followed by 'justifications' and then a further email lying about the duration the post was up online for and accusing me of slander. He said he had proof it was up for no more than 20 mins when one of my screenshots says underneath it 33 minutes. I don't understand his mentality and why he would compound his actions with lies. He was more focused on debating the disagreement over the order than addressing a very serious complaint regarding his breach of data protection laws! I tried to offer him further opportunities to consider my complaint appropriately and got told any further contact from myself would be considered harassment! Extremely unprofessional behaviour from an owner that could clearly do with training in customer service and well, being a decent human being to be honest! Completely disgusted by their violation and their carefree attitude towards it. Some people just have piss poor attitudes but when they run a company they should really do better!"
"Me and my friends got a few things tonight and omg seriously unreal. Kid friendly as they had wee colouring in pages and crayons they gave our wee ones to distract them while we ordered lol also have a kids menu, my wee boy loved the tortilla crisps the staff gave him for free. We always go to Boojum but drove out to lisburn for a try of this place. Their death sauce is something else, had to buy a tub of it to try so we could dip the tacos into and it’s the perfect amount of spicy! Love how they lay out their tacos and bowls, make it look unreal instead of them just being shoved in. We tried different meats each and also ordered the piggy fries that had the jalapeño poppers on them too and the are the best dirty fries Iv ever tried! Will deffo be back, and thanks for the glass of milk for my mate who couldn’t handle the chipotle lol"
"I usually get burritos from Little Mexican Deli, but decided to try Dark Burrito now that it's moved to Lisburn. Unfortunately the Burrito was cold when I got it home. I travelled 10 minutes to home and I've one of those bags to keep takeaways warm in the car. The first bite felt really cold so I stuck a meat thermometer inside it and it measured 29C. I did get jalapenos, cheese and salsa on it, but I've never had this problem anywhere else before. Most burritos I've had, I think they heat the salsa/sauce, but it definitely felt like the rice lost any heat it had really quickly. Probably because it was cold, but the rice also felt a bit hard and not fluffy. Sorry for the negative review, I do hope things improve."
"I was quite excited to try this since it moved to Lisburn but I was disappointed. There were 4 staff there but only one seemed to be working. Took quite a long time to get our food even though there were only 2 people in front of us in the queue. In terms of the food, on a positive note the beef was good but wasn’t the most generous of portion size. The rice was over cooked and looked and tasted stodgy. The pinto beans didn’t seem to be cooked at all, they were hard to eat. I had to pay extra for sour cream and jalapeños. I found it odd that I wasn’t given a plate. Burritos are typically quite messy and I made a bit of a puddle on the table that I tried my best to contain with napkins. I’m hoping these are just teething issues as I’d really like a good local burrito place in Lisburn."
