Reviews of LEGOLAND Resort Hotel
"Great hotel, lots to keep the kids entertained. Rooms comfy and spacious and great themes. We found the restaurant very expensive, the skyline bar had slightly better prices, btit was still on the pricey side. The kidlived all the fun extras like the games in the evening and the characters at breakfast"
"We arrived at around 9ish and instantly the staff were great. The guy at the desk was, friendly and informative. 4pm is quite late but it’s not really an issue since the park was open until 5pm. We hadn’t done our research properly so we only had dinner pre-booked, when in actual fact we should have had breakfast and swimming pre-booked too. As a result we missed out on the pool. The decor of the room was really cool. We had an adventure themed room and like in the other rooms there is a little treasure hunt to find the combination for a safe full of stuff for the children. The children had nice bunk beds and there was a pull-out bed for a third child if needed. There were little night lights on the wall beside the children’s beds, not too bright which was perfect for those who don’t like the dark. Unfortunately the room wasn’t the cleanest, there was a lot of dust on the higher surfaces in the bedroom and bathroom. The carpet needed a better vacuuming especially into the corners. The grout and silicone around the bath and sink was discoloured and shabby. There were a lot of scuff marks and scrapes marks on the walls and skirting boards. The double bad was a small double and not the most comfortable. These are all issues that children won’t notice so it’s not like it spoiled the experience. I know hotel standards are a little lower in Britain but for the money you pay it should probably be a little better. The food in Bricks restaurant was edible but not great, definitely not worth the money charged. The staff however again were wonderful. The hostess was engaging and the waiter looking after us was really good, nothing was too much trouble, and we were all over the place ordering which didn’t phase him at all. The second night we decided to eat in Skyline bar because the food wasn’t great in Bricks. Unfortunately the pizza oven was out of action which really reduced an already limited menu. I had a burger which was quite tasty. Again the staff were very friendly. There is a little shopping kiosk between Skyline Bar and Bricks Restaurant the girl working this Kiosk as per the theme was really pleasant and really helpful (my son wanted a specific mini figure in the surprise bag which she tried to help him find, actually she sent him to the other shop because she didn’t think she could feel the one he wanted and surprise, surprise the girl in there was lovely too and actually managed to guess the correct bag for the mini figure he wanted). Breakfast was wonderful, the food was nice, the children got pancakes and a continental and they were both delighted. On our first morning we were served by a girl whose mane I think was Kacey, she went above and beyond our already stratospheric experience with the staff again nothing was too much trouble and she was very chatty and welcoming without being intrusive. On the 2nd morning we had another wonderful lady whose name I wash we gotten because she was lovely too but then Kacey came over and waited on us too. I really wish I had the names of all the staff we had so I could mention them but actually all the hotel staff were outstanding. I really wanted to give this place more than 3 stars but the cleanliness of the room, the sub par food and a few smaller issues with menu items and drink availability mark it down for me."
"Hotel is fabulous designed, we spent ages exploring finding all the different themes, Room comfortable clean and well designed. Found hidden gems link lounge and brick pit with sensory room which where empty, staff very helpfully (big shout out to Sally for helping check in). Entertainment area needs work, staff try but frankly not as good at Alton towers hotel. Think area causes it to be cramped. Few fixtures need attention esp in toilets. But overall a good stay"
"Agreed place we had pirate themed room. It was spotless, my daughter loved the hunt in the room and lego to play with. Very close to the park which was great. Only downside was the food , breakfast came out cold, was charged for three course meal when we only had one course due to exhaustion from the day and we explained this to our server who said no problem for the one course . He then proceeded to ask for a tip. Food outlets in park are extremely busy and slow. We did have two fab days here. ."
"We absolutely loved our stay. We stayed in the pirate rooms. The clue hunt to unlock the treasure was brilliant for the kids. Lego in the room to play with. Entertainment was great. Breakfast was great. Really enjoyed it. You can wait a long time for the lifts, use the stairs if you are able to. My only nag, and I dont normally care too much about this, but for the price of the rooms you expect better cleanliness. Details were missed, dust on extractor fans, grime on the toilet, dust all over the mirror. Quick wipe over and it would be clean. So why are they being missed."
