Reviews
"Small beach area at the time we were there but children were enjoying it."
"Great for kids and adult paddling but watch out for the rock!"
"Parking was a pain. Not sure how it is classified as a beach. I've seen kids play parks with a larger stretch of sand. There were quite a few nice eateries though. The walk to Chalkwell beach is alongside the train track and the path is overgrown. I'd recommend eating in Leigh-on-sea and then driving to Chalkwell and enjoying the nicer beach or further along to Westcliff."
"Unfortunately we went a low tide time where there is no water around. We were unaware that there would be no water. Mostly out fault for not looking into it. Still very busy on a sunny day."
"A little corner of sandy beach in an otherwise unbeachy area of the coastline. But right by the mayflower chippy and ice cream place. Just ideal. Can get really packed when the weather is nice (winter or summer!) but well worth checking out if you're in Old Leigh."
