Reviews of The Great Frog
"Superb Support from the Staff, really helpful on the phone and via Email. Gaby did everything to help me chose a christmas present and thanks to super fast handling and shipping it reached me in time!"
"When i was 24 i went to this shop ( if it was called back then "The Leaping Frog" ) as it was so famous and the place to get something special. Rock and Heavy Metal bands use to go there. I am now 63 and i have never took this ring off.. never seen another like it."
"They need to work on your costumer service. I used to LOVE TGF jewellery, like at some point I was buying one every other month, visited the shop quite often, however would never be approached by any of the staff even the shop was empty. I get it that most people come in already knowing what they want, but others might change their mind or end up buying more pieces. Most staff is unhelpful and looks like they can't even be bothered to be there. Probably dont acknowledge you because youre not wearing 30 pieces of jewellery like they are. I dont wear mine every day because I can't use it for work, but maybe dont judge people like that. Just to give you an example, I went to Tessa Metcalfe a few months ago, and was only going to buy one ring and came out of there with 4, the staff there was so! so! nice that was a pleasure to go there. Not to mentioned they actually had stock to sell on the spot. I want to return to TGF but i dread this moment because it's just not an enjoyable experience. This goes for TGF East as well. Good luck though"
"Beautiful products, not so good ordering system. Ordered a ring in-store and was advised it would take 4 weeks to be made & delivered, which was fine. I phoned after this time and first no one could find my order, then I was then called back and told my order hadn’t been added to the system yet and it was going to take a further 5 weeks. There was no offer of any kind to make up for the wait, was just told oops thats the way it is. To make matters worse when I finally received it, it was too big because I went with the shop assistant’s recommendation to size up. Its all very well claiming to use time honoured craftsmanship in making products but its a let down that this attention to detail doesn’t extend into the customer service. Would be great if they also had an online portal to see progress of an order rather than relying on old fashioned phone calls. You need some assurance when paying around £300 a piece."
"I waited for 8 weeks only to receive a disappointing experience throughout. I ordered the Square Gem Ring in size I 1/2. When it was finally here, the sizing was wrong so I could not wear the ring properly. While it was already disappointing enough, as I saw the ring closely, I immediately realised it was not the end of the problems–the quality of the ring itself was shocking. Compared to my husband’s Open Skull Band (purchased back in 2020) which has essentially the same design, my Square Gem Ring barely had any definition to the teeth or nose on the skulls and the hallmark was practically non-existent. They even left unfinished rough patches inside and outside the shank so the solder line was super visible. Their excuse to this was a ‘human error’ caused in different stages of quality control which are carried by their trusted employees. I am sorry but do you not see this is making yourselves look even worse? You have basically confirmed the ring was seen by multiple employees and none of them noticed or questioned any of the issues above. I would not call this the ‘first-class’ craftsmanship or customer service that you boast. To my emails all they offered was a full refund or replacement which I should be entitled to anyway when receiving a low-quality item like this. They were very slow to respond to all of my emails, unprofessional in their communication and also slow to process the refund. Thank you for ruining a special birthday gift TGF. I have unfollowed all of the social media accounts of yours and I am not returning ever again."
