Bruce's Doggy Day Care in Woodcote Green

"Lovely people and my dog had fun but he got an endless array of eye infections, diarrhoea, etc. and when it rained I’d often pick him up shivering cold. Also didn’t like that you have to pay regardless of whether your dog attends - it was good that they warn of cases of kennel cough or tummy bugs but I would want to keep him home to be safe but still had to pay which seems unreasonable. Under certain conditions they let you bank the days but because I didn’t want my dog getting sick anymore I lost a lot of money on banked days that I won’t be using."

"I was really disappointed in this place. I took my puppy in for a taster session to plan ahead for my return to the office after WFH due to covid. I loved the idea of Bruce’s and thought the pick up/drop off element was an excellent idea and would come in very useful. When I arrived, I was warmly greeted and I could tell the staff loved dogs and enjoyed their roles. I also loved that the play areas were divided into sections according to age and play type to personalise each pup’s experience. However, when picking up my puppy I was told he had diarrhoea by a member of staff. Another member of staff reiterated this to me and spoke in a tone of complete disgust. I understand this is not nice to deal with but this made me feel as though my puppy was not welcome. French Bulldogs are known to have sensitive stomachs and this is unfortunately something we have to deal with from time to time. My puppy was diagnosed with an RTI just a couple of days after his taster session. I of course could not guarantee he had caught it here but thought it was best to inform them so they could inform other dog owners. I sent an email and got a response that stated they knew the RTI was spreading around the daycare. I find it quite irresponsible that I was not informed of this. I note that my puppy was playing in very dirty water (picture attached), within which the infection could have been held. I of course did not set up sessions for my puppy and do not ever plan to. The idea of Bruce’s is great and of course the pups love it as they are surrounded by staff who love dogs and other dogs. However, I would suggest looking elsewhere for day care for the above-stated reasons. In my experience, dogs love all day care providers!"

"Brilliant place. Our dog absolutely loves it there and is always excited to go. He always comes back and just sleeps for the rest of the day. Staff are friendly and very professional. Would definitely recommend."
