"I remember happily the days young people used to swim in the River Tern just south of Market Drayton. No longer -- at least not safely. I am disgusted to read about the number of times raw sewage is pumped into streams and rivers in the Severn catchment area (and beyond). Dividends given to shareholders should be diverted into infrastructure investment until this disgraceful situation is cleared up."
"Failed to register a meter at my property in a new build block. Cause a billing issue which no one from the customer service team was able to resolve. Rather than re-registering the meter, they decided to replace a perfectly working meter. Logged into my account 6 months later, now they have 2 meters registered at the property. Likely will cause another 6 months investigation into why with customer service team being too clueless as to how and why."
"I was very impressed when I visited Carsington Waters Seven Trent visitors centre. But now we know that the main investor is Qatar and they are getting 4.6 % more dividend this year. This is a despotic regime that oppresses its people. If I could change supplier I most certainly would. Darren Hackett"
"Due to health conditions I was over 31 days from the bill date to pay. They then ruined my credit! I was not even living there I’m the landlord the way they do business is absolutely disgusting!"
"Truly an extortion company classed as non priority unsecure invoice. There unjust enrichment policy of charging 6 months in the future based on estimated invented future services /invoices if you want a payment plan is unjust. More to the point the monthly payment plan bill quoted was DOUBLE that of paying upfront over 12 months. Severn Trent do not charge future services on invoices if paid in full upfront. We pay what is owed on the present invoice and any proved debt as recommended by citizen advice there is no invented arrears alleged debt of estimate future usage. If invoiced on separate future invented arrears wait till debt collector phase and give £1 token payment plan or dispute in full based on a proof of claim and send a prove it alleged debt letter to Severn Trent. Call centre is fair however a few untrained offshore people answer calls best to put phone down on them until you find one with a brain that can deal with your issue. This firm also never gives a discount to direct debit unlike other water companies so never use this method of payment. If you want to avoid time taken over water bills see if you can claim one of their water scheme discounts if household income from memory around £16,800 or just get the company to agree on a ppc payment plan which is a least based on reasonable payments not token which is not DOUBLE and halts any more action. The water boards hide behind a certain 1991 water Act so I believe they do not need a contract to be fair I cannot recall what happened 40 years ago when moved to location so the above methods are proven to work while all the mad decisions will end you in legal action as these extortionists have a fleet of lawyers extorting the poor for as little as £60 plus costs because they base actions on volume. These are opinions and not made by the homeowner."
