Reviews of The Old Bathing Place
"It's not that I object to paying, but knowing that you haven't got those horrible machines there, and vile wardens going 'round writing your numberplate down if the ticket has blown off your dashboard.... I love these places. It's a good place to swim as well"
"Lovely place to get into the river for either a swim or paddle. However it is a victim of its own success as the car park is woefully small. Also a lot of the people who frequent this place are the type who like to drink large quantities of Stella, swear loudly, show zero consideration for others around them, leave litter and think that the entire area wants to hear their rubbish dance music pumped out over large portable speakers."
"Good place to enter the water. Easy to launch your canoes and go for a swim. Don’t forget to wear your clothes as many Stratford tour boats go by ;)"
"First time here. I was looking for somwhere to launch my canoe. I was early so just a few dog walkers about. Canoe launching was good from here. Looks like a nice river walk into Stratford. Plenty of wild life ."
"Nice access to the river. Free car parking. Wide grass area to inflate boats or change. River shallow in many stretches. Beautiful views, but the road noise is very loud."
