"Had my MOT here and the whole experience was pleasing. Specialises in dealing with EVs which was reassuring. Pre-booked my MOT appointment 3 weeks in advance - lots of days/time options available when booking. A SMS reminder sent on the day prior to MOT. I waited on site for MOT - took approx 60mins from my time of arrival. Friendly staff. No refreshments available if waiting. For awareness - venue located in a busy and congested industrial area (looked off putting initially) but easily accessible."
"Excellent garage, Jack especially was brilliant and helpful sorting out an almost siezed handbrake caliper on my Tesla Model S. They could have just recommended a replacement as many garages would but he did an excellent job of cleaning and lubricating all 6 calipers (4 brakes and 2 handbrakes) saving me an estimated £700 bill from Tesla themselves. The bill came to less than £200! Highly recommended!"
"Many EV drivers struggle to access specialist technical assistance and I count myself as very fortunate to live within striking distance of eTech Midlands. They serviced my Peugeot iON this morning and it was a very straightforward process, competitively priced, with greatly appreciated in-depth feedback when I collected the car. All very impressive and so reassuring to know my EV’s in safe and knowledgeable hands from now on!"
"Fantastic!!! E-Tech Midlands managed to cure not only my wonky steering but also fixed the heater, neither of which Nissan Lincoln managed to do. The steering turned out to be the lower wishbone (lower control arm) where the rubber mounting for the ball joint had come loose from the collar on the wishbone (Nissan thought it might be a twisted back axel). The heater not working turned out to be the heater itself (which was under the bonnet, not behind the dashboard as Nissan thought, so a lot easier to get to), apparently it is quite a common fault on the early Leaf (2011 especially) where a seal fails and liquid leaks into the electrics. I sourced a second hand 2012 one which E-Tech Midlands fitted, and now I have a heater that works again, and all for a very reasonable price. They were willing to work with me and wait while I found another heater for them to fit. They also checked software fixes to help with the failing range. Very impressed with the jobs done."
"The guys at eTech Midlands were fantastic with repairing my Chevrolet Volt. It had been tripping the charging unit for months, and I couldn't find anyone to look into the issue. I had to travel around an hour and a half to get to eTech, but it was well worth the journey. After speaking to Jack the day before to discuss the symptoms and possible issues, he proactively ordered the suspect replacement part (charge receptacle) in advance so that it could be fitted the same day and save me another journey. Sure enough, after his diagnostic test of the various electrical charging systems, it became apparent that a small crack in the charge receptacle was the issue. The part was swapped out that day, and I was back on the road and charging in the afternoon! Great service, and it's given me confidence that I can get problems with my second hand EV fixed professionally, quickly and at a fair price."
