"I invested in a SIPP with them over ten years which they charged around 1000 GBP a year plus management fees ex VAT. They took 50% of all profit made as they invested so badly. The pension grew little, but more from the tax breaks and contributions. Their advice in investments and otherwise was poor. No consultant came to see me unless I asked. Eventually I moved my pension to Vanguard (£350 inc VAT max) and in 2 years gain 56.77% on the original investment. Low charges self managed. They even charged me to transfer my pension £1500 ex VAT. Bunch of cowboys ! Pls Avoid ! Terrible self serving consultants ! a few months after I wrote my review Mattiolli Woods replied below with a generic answer asking me to contact their client relationship team ! A generic answer to an ex-client. Says it all ! Didn't even address the issue. Update Dec 2021 - Pension return 69.95%. Vanguard S&P500 Index fund. Update Dec 2022 - Pension return 49.71% (good considering the market) My reply still stands - Extremely poor investment advice ! Buyer beware."

"Absolutely shocking security staff. I was walking my dogs with my partner today at 9th March about 8pm near Mattioli Woods building Leicester. My partner went into Tesco while I was waiting on side and security guard walked outside and told me not to stand on their property stating its private land! He claimed land around their building which belongs to Leicestershire council and its part of New walks! It's an public space! Staff is a first sign to reflect I hope management can get in touch with me as I wish to make a formal complain and will inform City Council!"

"UPDATE: Since my last review I was contacted by customer service and told they would investigate my experience as they're accepting my review as a complaint. Weeks later I received what you'd expect. No apology. No recognition that I'm human and have suffered a catastrophic pension loss. They simply blamed me for their lack of administrative architecture or consistent approach. Essentially because I moved they couldn't do their job? Yet as soon as we were back in contact they have to date NOT delivered anything they claim to have attempted to deliver to me. Strangely this whole matter emerged because I wanted a year end valuation so I could pursue the investment managers. Here it is, December 30th and I still don't have a valuation. On lletterhead. By post. They're simply eschewing their fiduciary or ethical responsibility. Clearly they don't know a brand is what people say when you're not in the room. Fire these people from whatever task they perform for you. They're not interested in humans. They're interested in fees and avoiding liability. My perspective on them has worsened. I have never experienced more hilarity with people who are inept, insane and ludicrously unprepared for the seriousness of the work they're supposed to do."
