"Took my big dog along for his second groom at D&G. Went well, as before, tho the staff appeared not to be the same & not as upbeat & positive as previously. Covid has impacted everything & everybody, but with so many small businesses springing up, customers need encouragement if they're to return. I'll just add that this tiny store is in an old building virtually inaccessible for the mobility disabled, with 2 x steep steps into the premises. There's a bell on the wall outside to attract attention but it hasn't yet worked for me. If I don't want to be rain soaked, I've no alternative but to struggle up, dog in tow. Struggling out again onto the pavement, trying to prevent the dog competing with 2 x lanes of traffic, one could really do with understanding assistance. And good luck if seeking to park in one of the few roadside parking spaces on the Market Square. Tricky (for disabled) parking at the best of times, with building work going on, one currently also competes with work vehicles. All that notwithstanding, D&G does a good groom, even if they do refuse anal gland expression."

"I had my two collies groomed today. It is the first time I have used a dog groomer and I was a little worried as to how my dogs would react. The staff were very friendly and the dogs were happy whilst they were there. The groomers did a wonderful job. Dogs look lovely. Will definitely use again and would highly recommend."
