"Romeo has been amazing, working with us to manage and improve the anxious aggressive behaviour of our much loved dog and to build his confidence with other dogs and also humans. Romeo is so knowledgeable and loves dogs so all his advice and training is based on positive reinforcement and commitment to training. Nothing has been too much trouble for him and he has done everything possible. We have seen really good improvements since we started the training and now we have the structure and tools to continue that work. Romeo, Ioana and all the team at Royvon are always brilliant with our little anxious daxie both when he stays and with training and we would always recommend them to anyone with an anxious dog or any dog for that matter!"
"We boarded our two working spaniels for two weeks and they looked like they were having the best time! When we picked them up they looked happy, healthy and well taken care of. We worried about them because of the heat wave but the daily updates kept us reassured that they were in great hands. We also really loved that they did daily weight checks for the dogs to make sure they weren’t losing weight due to stress. They really do take the well-being of your dogs seriously. Thank you very much for everything! We will 100% be using your services again!"
"Our 9 year old wheaten terrier cross recently spent 3 weeks at Royvon residential. 'Teddy' is a rescue dog from the Dog's Trust. His previous owner had died so we had very little history about him when we adopted him. He is the perfect dog in the house, but when outside and faced with other dogs he has an anxious energy, and he can be very reactive to other dogs. We sent him to Royvon with realistic hope given his age and challenges. His trainer was the excellent Charlie who clearly bonded well with Teddy. We were sent almost daily videos and updates on his progress (which would then become a useful aid for us to carry on his training for life!). By patiently training Teddy on some of the basics in terms of focus and giving his humans attention outside, Charlie helped make noticeable improvements to his behaviour (which had a knock-on impact to what was already very good indoor/home behaviour). He returned to us a much calmer dog, even more relaxed in the house, and less bothered by external noises (and weeks on this remains the case). Outside of the house he is still reactive to many other dogs (not all!), but we (and he!) are now equipped with some commands and coping mechanisms to reduce his anxiety and better manage encounters with other dogs. We've continued his training ourselves, and we've also booked him a hotel week at Royvon when we take our summer holiday ... along with some refresher 1-1 training with his favourite trainer Charlie! We'd definitely recommend those with older dogs to consider using Royvon providing you aren't expecting miracles. Were we to have a much younger dog with behavioural needs we also wouldn't hesitate to use their services. Thanks again and see you soon!"
"Romeo was amazing with our wonderful but nervous, sensitive, energetic border collie. He was patient and highly skilled, training both my dog and me. We are now more confident with him in new places, know how to deal with his sensitivity and overall have a calmer more wonderful dog. Romeo really brought out his potential and set us up for great walks and training. We are forever grateful and learnt so much. The respect and fondness he has for all dogs is second to none. So appreciative and happy we found you!"
"Firstly, I have the thank the staff at Royvon for being incredibly flexible with us scheduling the 3-week board and train programme for our 8 year old rescue Akita Max. Our holiday to America moved FOUR times and each time they rescheduled Max without complaint. After meeting with Romeo, we were confident he was the man for the job. Taking into account Max's age, breed, and history, he helped us set realistic goals for what we wanted to achieve in his 3 weeks. I was extremely nervous about leaving Max for 3 weeks as he struggles with separation anxiety, has shown aggression towards people when nervous, and hadn't been away from us since we adopted him. Within a few hours we received an update from staff letting us know that he had settled in and was taking treats from the trainers. The daily photo and video updates showed him being his smiley cheeky self and gave me such peace of mind while traveling. When we picked him up it was clear that Max had developed a bond with Romeo and he walked us through some of the work he had done with Max so we could continue at home. If you expect to come back to a "different dog" after three weeks, you might be disappointed, but if you're looking to get some new tools for managing your dog's less desirable behaviours and are willing to continue the work at home after the 21 days are up, I'd absolutely recommend Royvon. We now have a better lines of communication with Max and he seems happier and more confident knowing clearly what we want from him."
