"Had a great stay, stylish comfortable rooms. Staff were genuinely a highlight - Mary in the restaurant was wonderful as was everyone I came into contact with from the housekeeping to the reception staff. The food was also top rate - we were in a large party but the food was delicious, well presented and way above your average hotel restaurant grub."

"I liked the hotel but feel it is more 3 star than 4. The room didn't come with a bath and wasn't as nice as the photos, and I didn't find the bed the comfiest. Parking nearby cost £15 for the night and on top of a £210 one night booking it all adds up. Breakfast was lovely albeit poached eggs a little undercooked for my liking. For the price it fell short compared to other small UK 4 star hotels."

"Very nice food and incredibly diligent. Offered lots of care for our dad and gave him free disabled parking. Patient with our dog that got a little too excited about the waiter's presence."

"The hotel is well placed on the edge of town. Rooms, cocktails and food are all good as is the service and the staff with a special mention to the young lady on breakfast. Worth noting there are parking spaces but you need to book in advance though round the corner is 24 hrs for £7. Only negative was the roll top bath only had tepid water though we did mention this on check out."

"Thank you to the staff for the wonderful Afternoon tea, you made it so lovely for us and it was so nice to spend our pre Anniversary celebration in such a beautiful and calming place. The selection of cakes and sandwiches were beautifully presented and everything was fresh and a real treat. And Thank you for our card and glass of champagne, that was a lovely surprise. Definitely recommend it to anyone who is looking for a decadent Afternoon Tea. Thank you X"
