"The last time I'd eaten at this place was in 2014/15, while at college nearby. I ordered baguettes from here at every opportunity I had, after having my first baguette with transcendental taste. Coronation chicken was always my go-to back then, and I wasn't surprised when it had sold out by the time I got there today. I've always respected this place, not just as the best maker of fresh sandwiches I've ever had the pleasure of eating, but also as an active member of the community. This institution of delicatessen brilliance is just as excellent, if not better than it was all those years ago. Chicken Tikka was my sandwich of choice today, in a baguette just as fresh as the sweetcorn I asked to be added. The staff were both friendly and witty, with excellent levels of service. I had the Chicken Tikka baguette with added cheese, heated before adding sweetcorn. This was an absolute joy to savour, with elegantly delicate flavours, intermingled into an insanely beautiful offering for anyone to enjoy. To add, it warmed my heart to see such an institution at the heart of High Street, having served the people of Barry as a community conscious, family owned business since 1983. My top 3 recommendations for anyone who loves good food at exceptional prices are Chicken Coronation, Lamb & Mint, or Prawn Mayo. All 3 are available year-round, but they also offer Christmas specials for the more adventurous palletes. On top of that, cheese connoisseurs of refined taste will find a wide selection of Snowdonia Chesse Company flavours that are truly mind-blowing. Now that I'm lucky enough to be close enough to eat from this pillar of Barry, I'll be gladly indulging at every opportunity I get. I can't sing highly enough the praises of the staff, nor the wonderful quality and price of the food. Food for Thought is truly the best producer of fresh sandwiches, baguettes, wraps and paninis you'll ever have the chance to consume."

"After interactions with owner it should be 1 star. but ive heard its a really great sandwhich shop many people recommend so if you want a sandwhich hit them up! unfortunatly it looses 3 star for pretending to be a delicatessen because it has some wax cheese and jars lol long shelf life thats more for decoration he even told me he doesnt get meat as its a waste because the deli side of his buisness is dead. owner cant handle critisism either which for a professional in the game for over 30 years its quite hard to believe."
