"If I could give OneQuote Direct car insurance a zero or minus stars, I would. They have been charging me £800 a year for insurance of my 2017 Volkswagen Jetta. I have a l clean driving license and have had no car accidents in the last 6 years. Although I have barely driven this car for the past 18 months throughout the pandemic, they still manage to increase the cost of my insurance significantly. Then in June this year, OneQuote Direct canceled my insurance without giving me any warning whatsoever. I have been a OneQuote Direct customer for four years. I'm disgusted with the way they've treated me. Before canceling my car insurance, I would have expected that at the very least OneQuote Direct would a) call me up. b) send me a letter, c) send me a series of emails, d) send me a text message - to let me know that they are canceling my car insurance. I received NOTHING from them. How can they say this is 'customer care'? Please don't get a car insurance quote from OneQuote Direct as they will fleece you and not care a jot for you as a customer. Why not just get your car insurance from one of the many reputable car insurers out in the market? Don't make my rookie mistake: Check your car insurer reviews before you buy."

"One Quote Direct are honestly the worst insurance company I've ever had to deal with and I've had some poor ones in the past. Had a non fault claim with Admiral previously which took almost 3 years to resolve and that was better than the service I received from One Quote. I wish I'd have checked the reviews first but I've learnt now. Cheaper is not always better. Terrible to speak to and if you have a claim they pass you to a third party who pass you to another third party and no one accepts responsibility for any issues or service issues. Fully comp cover and wasnt paid out for vehicle until after claim resolved. They didn't even actually notify my actual insurance company of the claim until it was almost resolved 4 months later. Go with a reputable larger company where they will at least deal with your claim properly."
