Reviews of The Vet in St Margarets
"Very poor communicators. Seems to be the switch to Medivet has lowered the standard of care."
"My first time at this vet was wonderfull. However the second time around I was actually taken away by how bad the service was. I called on a Monday to book for end of the week. I booked for thursday. Take in mind I have to cancel my own clients so I can attend the appointment. When I got there, on time, I was told my appointment was not today. Very strange and frustrating. But what was more frustrating was the lack of understanding or care from the two people inside. There was no one else inside aswell, so they couldve put a little bit more care and effort into helping me. Instead of just sending me away."
"Very disappointed with the service. After 9 months with my dog at this practice, and extending the benefit of the doubt, I have decided enough is enough and will be choosing another vet. I registered here on the basis of other reviews and its location. However after 4 visits with my dog for various reasons, I am fed up with the rude vets, who display an apparent lack of care or their promised "loving touch" for my dog. They have not given me any confidence that they want to understand what is wrong and display an apparent lack of knowledge. Each time I have not felt reassured that my dog was treated well. The reception staff are friendly enough but lack depth of knowledge of the products they sell. The only positive experience I have had was from a visiting student veterinary nurse who treated a broken dew claw. She was the only one in all this time who actually seemed to like animals, care for them, who greeted my dog and reassured him and stroked him etc. Others have manhandled my dog unnecessarily and at times have said "Your guess is as good as mine!". Or been surprised that the dog won't allow them to inspect teeth or sores etc. after having been rough with them or acted as if they were an inanimate object. Worst vet practice I have experienced."
"Our dog Jack has been a patient at the Vet in St.Margarets for the last 5 years and Jo and the team have provided a fantastic service. He's needed 2 complex operations over that time which both went very well and we really appreciate the very high standards they have in the surgery, the excellent communication and aftercare. We can't recommend them highly enough. Many thanks!"
"Excellent vets! Me and my partner have been using this vets for the last two years after it was recommended to us by a lady in the local park and we don't have a bad word to say about them. Scott and his team have also shown our dogs the most outstanding care and professionalism. Would highly recommend this lovely little surgery."
