"We rang and booked lunch for 12 midday. We weren't told that the pub didn't actually open until 12 midday. We had to wait until 1pm for lunch to arrive, we heard the staff constantly asking if it had arrived ( we could only assume that this was the pies we had been waiting so long for). When the lunch arrived it wasn't cooked properly, the steak was tough, the pies were flat cold In the middle, the suet pastry wasn't cooked and was almost slimey. The chips were only half cooked, hard In the middle. The meal was definitely not worth the hour we had to wait. There is also no parking, so all in all not a very good experience and certainly wouldn't want to eat there again. They are dog friendly though."
