"Headmistress and some staff leave a lot to be desired in Thackley primary at the moment to be honest although there are still a couple of the teachers in nursery who were there last year who were great although must say this year the new nursery staff seem very abrupt and uncaring and not at all friendly towards the new children or parents who are all just finding their feet in the school. Not very supportive of parents and communication between parents and teachers isnt of a good standard in fact it is a problem as many parents are actually want to know how their little ones are coping but new teacher isnt approachable at all unlike the old nursery teacher miss Walker who was so helpful and supportive towards all of the children in her care. Trying to get information from her is like pulling teeth. Im sure she is a perfectly good teacher but parents need reassurance when their 3 year olds are left in their care. The executive head is quite approachable and is supportive towards parents but he is also head of blakehill too so not often on site. The school has really gone downhill since my second eldest was there a few years ago. Again back then the staff were very professional and found time to speak to us parents and they were kind to the little ones. Where as the newest teacher in nursery at the moment seems to be unable to engage with parents appropriately. I dont think we shall be putting this school when its time to choose schools especially when Idle primary is far superior and the staff are so caring, work hard alongside the parents and accedemically seem to be superior to Thackley."
