Reviews of Gorse Hill City Farm
"This is 2nd visit for afternoon tea for us. 1st time was the weekend of lockdown starting on March 20th 2020 so was very quiet but this time it was Mother's Day....There was no heating on so we were cold. We were told at the beginning we just had table for an hour as it was very busy. that was fine because it was too cold to hang around and was glad they still accepted the Groupon as they could have excluded Mother's day but hadn't. The food was nice enough and a good selection. 3 different sandwich fillings, about 6 different bite sized cakes and 2 scones (unfortunately for me were fruited which I don't like but Hubby does so he had both scones and I ate all the cakes!). There was a big pot of tea which was enough for 2 cups each. I would go again but try to avoid a busy afternoon tea day. Car parking was a little tricky too as only room for about 12 cars"
"All the Animals!!! Such a great place and the animals are so well treated. Make sure you buy lots of food from reception, and I mean lots. Also try and spot Chester the Cat a new addition. He was very shy but if you zoom in on one of my photos he is in his bed all warm and cosy."
"Personally had a really fun time. The volunteers are lovely and know all the animals. The cafe has really nice food too. As it's non profit it's worth every penny, and although it's not the largest farm you could go to, it's worth seeing and taking your time!"
"I visited the farm around the time of Halloween and it was wonderful to see the farm themed with Halloween. Definitely, a place to take your kids too as they will enjoy feeding the animals at the farm. It's quite a small farm, so might not take more than 1-2 hrs to cover the whole farm along with feeding the animals. I couldn't try the cafe. However, the staff was very friendly. Learned some new facts about animals displayed throughout the farm. Would definitely recommend to visit especially with kids."
"It's a nice day out for the family, especially for the younger kids. They'll enjoy feeding the animals. The food there is delicious and they have a good selection of mains and desserts."
