"I checked in at 3, a bit of a mixup as I'd generally expect someone to be at the door, meet/ greet etc. No one. Called up and was told where the keys were, got in, all great however, I'd add that sachets of coffee/ tea/ sugar is not enough for two people. Also, anyone that hasn't come here, although it isn't a problem for me, these "apartments" are situated in a converted residential house. Also, after booking, you have to pay a damage deposit to the host's online account. I was informed that there is a way to pay via card etc but I had to chase up a couple of times but I did get a refund on it within 36 hours. The final verdict is that for the price, this place is excellent but I honestly feel that the booking structure is lacking severely so that's a 4."
"OK but very basic not connected to the hotel, door left open all day. Hotel food basic not great, so expensive ended up with microwave pie and school mash because they ran out of Sunday roast even though we booked. Never again !"
"Nice room, comfy bed, and even the tv had more options than the usual freeview stuff. Car park wasn't anything special but even that was reasonable. I'd happily stay here again."
"Very comfortable room. And friendly welcome."
"I can't comment on the room as I didn't get that far, but my experience with Bede Serviced Apartments went like this: Upon arriving in the area I couldn't help but think it looked rough and run down, the apart hotel, which looked like someone's house, wasn't clearly sign posted either. I called the number from a questionable text message; the lady who answered abruptly told me I needed to send £50 to the account details in the text message, before further details are relasied to me (yes, it sounded like what you're thinking), she didn't care to talk or give me any other information, and seemed eager to hang up; however, I couldn't figure out where I was supposed to be parking (again not made obvious), so I was able to keep the conversation with the hostage taker/receptionist going for a little longer. At some point I was asked for my surname, then after some confusion, I was told my room was damaged and I needed to cancel my booking. The lady was quick to blame booking.com and I didn't even get so much as an apology for the inconvenience; truthfully however at this point I was almost relieved. I managed to get a refund via booking.com, with no help from Bede Serviced Apartments, booking.com also stated that the hotel hadn't informed them of the room being damaged. So overall, I'd describe my experience with this company as shambolic and unprofessional. I would also suggest a change in career to the receptionist, maybe something less customer service focused; have you considered a career in the movies ? Cheers, Kal"
