Reviews of The Watling Inn
"Only used the cafe for breakfast it was good tasty and hot and very good value for the price"
"Useless. Cancelled my booking with 4 days notice, throwing all my plans in the air. Had been booked for months. Avoid. Just seen your response. No, you didn't arrange alternative accommodation for me. I was left high and dry. So dishonest too."
"We were in room sixteen, Peter and Jane Young. Sixth April one night. The Lady Manager was extremely kind, and welcoming. As was a Lady staff member i think her name was Cheryl. Who made short work of sorting the TV out, and getting it working nicely. The breakfast was excellent . Nothing too much trouble"
"The Watling Inn was an enjoyable experience (as far as overnight stays go) the room was quite spacious and offered all of the appropriate amenities. One such amenities that a young person like ke was very happy about was the plug sockets actually being available near the bed and not hidden behind. I was able to charge my phone next to the bed instead of across the room, like it would in a normal hotel room. Another amenity being the large heater under the window. Luckily I didn't have too put this too high as the temperature wasn't that low but it was nice to know that it worked properly and the room maintained a decent temperature throughout my stay. Just down the road from the Watling Inn is the Longshoot pub which I would also recommend as the food there is quite reasonably priced and rather nice."
"Very disappointed. I booked a double room but I upgraded to a family room before i arrived. I was staying with my brother but when I arrived they gave me a double room assuming I was on my own. We then had to wait for them to get a room ready, which was a small twin. The mattresses were very uncomfortable as we could feel all the springs! Then at 4am we were awakened by a fire alarm. We all waited outside for about 15 minutes before the lady who ran the hotel showed up. Such a shambles and I certainly won't stay there again"
