"My delivery from Morris &Son's was delivered by Leonardo. However, instead of delivering the extremely heavy package to my actual address, (i.e. my personal flat), he left the package inside the communal entrance hall for anybody visiting to take should they wish to - it was in full view of any caller or resident. Added to the fact that it was left in an insecure and public place, it was also left two floors down from my flat. I have various disabilities as well as being 71 years old. The package was far too heavy for me even to drag by myself: I couldn't even slide it to the lift. In the end I had to obtain the assistance of the building's communal cleaner and, between the two of us, we had to unpack the package in the communal entrance hall and transport the individual items, piece by piece to my 2nd floor flat. I could quite easily purchase my dogs' food (which is what the package contained) from the local shops if it wasn't for the fact that delivery helps me because of my disabilities - if, of course, the delivery is actually delivered to my door. I would expect this sort of behaviour from some couriers, but I do not expect it from DX Express. I am appalled."
"A truly terrible delivery service from the Bristol Brach of DX Express. I was contacted on Tues 13 December with a 2 hour timeslot only to be messaged later in the day saying "could not find your address" - however despite having my mobile phone number there was no phone call to ask me where my address is (my house was built 100+ years ago and EVERY other courier company can find me). Two more failed attempts on Wed 14 Dec & Thur 15 Dec where I was contacted with a 2 hour timeslot only to be message later in the day with "could not deliver" messages. I appreciate there was snow where I live during this period HOWEVER there were other delivery companies passing by my house every day that week. The fourth attempt on Sunday 18 December was successful - in unmarked van so assume DX Express are bottom end of the market and use "man with a van" to subcontract to. In the future, if I ever learn that my goods will be delivered by DX Express I will shop elsewhere. I appreciate it is the busiest month of the year for deliveries and there was snow & ice - BUT other courier companies were delivering in my village every day that week."
"Courier was due to deliver an important item on Saturday, nobody came, I have cctv footage to back this up but they listed the property as 'unreachable'. The following Monday they still didn't deliver the item despite stating they would and there not being a reason. They cannot be contacted via phone. Avoid this service"
"Five years ago I ordered a bath tub online to be delivered by DX which somehow got lost at one of the depots. This definitely soured my experience and seeing that a few of my latest deliveries were using DX I expected the worse, almost to the point of wanting to cancel. However all three of my last deliveries were received within the time slot given, by friendly drivers without any issue. From my experience definitely much improved though i should note i have not directly dealt with the depot itself. My recent experience would be 5 stars only deducted from the terrible experience 5 years ago which would have been zero stars so 4 seems a fair score from my POV."
"Waited for half an hour at the reception and there was no one there to help us. Only until we saw a staff pass by at the parking lot that we managed to get someone to help. Waited another half an hour just for the staff to “make a copy” of the document, never came back to confirm the receipt of documents. Bad service and not helpful especially because it’s an important document and we need confirmation that it has been received."
