Reviews of Hebden Bridge Picture House
"This is a great venue! Lovely ambiance. Not your usual films are shown, alot of indi and low budgets, some Hollywood block busters, but they are few, which is no bad thing?! We try to go as often as a film vaguely interests us."
"Love Hebden Bridge picture house. Nice old one screen cinema. Good selection of films including blockbusters as well as independent and international films. Nice selection of drinks including alcohol and the usual selection of popcorn and confectionery. Also nice choice of cakes to accompany a tea coffee or hot chocolate. Great place to see a much awaited film or to discover a screening of something less well known to pass the time especially on days when weather is less favourable. The local independent cinema is an essential part of the fabric of life in Hebden Bridge. Reasonably priced and well worth a visit."
"Lovely old cinema. Comfy seats and lots of leg room!. Chance to catch a film we'd missed at our local cinema. Very enjoyable experience."
"Despite many close shaves, one of the last council-owned cinemas in the country soldiers on in Hebden Bridge. It's enjoyed a revival in recent years with a fantastic selection of films available, from blockbusters to old classics to art house flicks. The snack selection is excellent and very reasonable. There's not many places you can get a cup of hot chocolate, tea or coffee in a proper mug and take it back to the till at the end of the film. A brilliantly cosy experience that needs supporting at all costs!"
"What a cosy little cinema. Plenty of leg room, comfy seats and a proper brew in a mug made this the perfect evening on a cold and wet night. Will definitely return as the staff were so friendly and welcoming. There was a wide variety of snacks and drinks available to buy at the kiosk including wine by the glass! What more could you ask. Well done Hebden cinema."
