"Very futuristic vibe. Was it clean? It was clean but some items of use still felt a bit sticky and not very nice. However, the cleanliness of the toilet wasn’t the best but could be improved. Yet, even with this they still had kept the whole futuristic vibe throughout the whole entire arcade. It had points stored on cards and you would scan a card and it would automatically charge money onto it, put tokens in it and claim prizes. Anything you could ask for! Would come again."
"If my wife and son didn't get stuck in the lift, I'd have given 5 stars. There's lots of different types of games with prizes to be won. The kids had a great time, we'll be back one day"
"Really liked the idea of using token cards for games and giving free drinks. However I did feel Vortex Gaming was far too small and needed a lot more modern arcade machines, this meant you could get bored fairly quickly. If Vortex Gaming was 3-4 times the size it would be awesome and I would make regular visits, however as it is I probably wouldn't go more than once."
"Visited last week with the kids in half term week ,at first I was abit apprehensive as it was absolutely packed and being disabled I was worried about getting around ,but it was fine ,there was plenty of room for everyone and the manager HANNAH was extremely helpful and very aware of disabled people's needs and had plenty of time for any of her customers , everything was reasonably priced for a fun afternoon out and we had a great time, you purchase credits/tokens on a reloadable card which you scan on the machines, the games vary in price anything from 2credits which is the cheapest to 20credits where its a grabber and you play until you win ,each credit is approx 25pence and you can get some good deals when you buy multiple credits ,they also serve reasonably priced snacks and drinks which you can buy as a self serve refillable drink for maximum value ,alot of the games you can win tokens which automaticallyload to your card so when you win enough you can exchange for prizes and they have quite a good selection to choose from, there's even an upstairs which has even more arcade games and an area for smaller children to play games too, the lift to get upstairs was lovely and clean and well maintained and they even have a sticker on the emergency exit stating that they have a disabled person's protocol for evacuation in an emergency ,which I have not seen anywhere yet and I thought that this showed that vortex cared about its disabled customers !!! Which unfortunately even in 2021 is a rarity in alot of companies so vortex stands out Its the little things like this that makes you feel more comfortable on visits out and about the disabled toilet was quite spacious and clean and fairly easy to locate There is even a balcony outside towards the back of vortex for people who want to get abit of air or have a smoke . All the machines/games /surfaces were well maintained and the staff were cleaning the machines etc between customers as much as they could All in all we had a good experience and I would recommend if your in the area to take a look at vortex ,located at resorts World, parking is discounted to £2.50 if you get your ticket validated at vortex if your playing there or if you spend over £20 at resorts world and get it validated by customer services ,this applies to all customers even if you have a disabled badge ,but I think this is a fairly reasonable charge as you get 6 hours parking which is plenty of time to enjoy yourselves and you don't have to rush around worrying about excessive parking charges. I'm glad that we decided to try vortex as we wasn't disappointed and I'm sure when you decide to visit you won't be either"
"Visited for the first time for my kids birthday. We all really enjoyed it. There's plenty there. I love that you pay for tokens and they are loaded onto a card so you don't have to worry about changing money. The food is also not too badly priced. We'll definitely be visiting again!"
