Reviews of National Trust - Stoneywell
"We had a lovely few hours around the grounds. We also had a guided tour around the cottage. But you could have a walk around it to on your own take photos. All the staff were lovely and very knowable. The only down side there was no tea shop and it was a lovely sunny day to have tea and cake out."
"When approaching the property using the satnav, follow the directions to the parking lot. There is no parking available outside the building. Visitors are picked up by a small vehicle that travels from the parking lot to the building. The property can only accommodate a specific number of guests, so I advise making a reservation in advance. There is plenty of space outside for you to have picnic and enjoying the garden."
"What a hidden gem! A lovely visit on Father's Day. Would recommend using the guided tour facility to get the most out of your experience of the cottage. Our guide brought the place to life with her knowledge and great presentation. Lots of Gimson and Beazley furniture pieces to admire and a whole history to unfold. Gardens are beautiful and great for exploring. Take a picnic, as coffee shop is sadly closed. Not expensive and worth every minute you spend there!"
"Went on a Monday after booking a time slot, quite quiet which suits us. Informative guide took us around the house very interesting, think it would suit an older age group rather than children, overall a nice half a day"
