"I really enjoyed the shopping around M&S Simply Food as the prices were decent. I went for a full trolly shopping and the prices are near to Tesco or similar for the Grocieries. The members of staff are really polite with great customer service ready to help if you have a question. The Grocieries shop is located within a shopping centre where you can compare price. There is also a car park within the place where is it safe to do so"

"Not enough staff, only 1 manned normal till. Self serve tills were clearly not working probably working, even supervisor couldn't sort issue out. Just get staff on the tills please, this happened at 4 30pm, think staff were keen to be going home. Not the best store for MS ambassador brand at all. Leckworth store was soo much better."

"I really like the food from M & S however what I don’t like is there staff on the till and the customer service desk who will only do the minimum to accommodate. For instance you have to ask them to help you pack your groceries. One of the reasons I started to shop here way back was because they had exceptional staff who wanted to help which you never got elsewhere. Today’s M&S experience is parallel to Aldi tills which is not why I pay the higher price tag! Today at Newport road was exactly like this and at the customer service desk it’s as if if they don’t look round no one is there. Until you shout which is what I had to do! This is not just this store I have exactly the same experience in Spytty Newport. Such a shame as I really like the food. Over the years definitely not the same experience as it used to be."

"Went to the cafe today with my elderly parents. Between us we had a flat coffee, hot chocolate and a mocha. No queue as such; I ordered, paid and collected the drinks. Don't know why the staff looked miserable, but they nedn't have taken it out on me. The cups were put on saucers, then when the (filled) cups were put on them, they were just shoved in my direction. No receipt - I didn't like that, and as it looked that asking for one might be a bit to much to ask for, I didn't bother asking for it. The drinks were passable, but that's all. I've had better elsewhere. As for the decor, don't go there if you're feeling depressed. Though the furniture was pretty clean, the colour scheme was very dark, and don't look at the ceiling - it's the same throughout the store - black. As you can probably guess, we won't be going back to the cafe. It wasn't a bit of light relief - more like a bad experience. Shame on M & S."
