"Having been a customer for years, the high standards and product quality, need no justification. Simply superb."
"The entrance to the store was confusing, as there were queues of people, i think waiting for the coffee machines. the fruit and vegetable (produce) section was highly stocked and presented well. The fresh meat and chilled were also filled and presented to a good standard as you would expect. However, as you moved into the ambient isles, the presentation had fallen, it almost looked as if someone had ransacked the isles. SEL's (price tickets) were all over the place without the correct product being behind them, yes there was stock on the shelves and a good variety of it, but it was all at the back of the shelves and all jumbled up. For a store which has a perceived high quality it was not up to standard. With the isles such a mess you would think the management would put someone or a few members of staff on task to face the isles, make it look more presentable. Why is 2 staff needed at self service when the customers do not have access to most of the products? Most people would rather not buy a product than have to ask for a product. Saying that the young gentlemen on self service was very helpful, but the older lady just ignored us when asking help."
"Staff is friendly and helpful, can't fault them. You find a lot of niche products and decent quality fruit and vegs. The ladies loos are not cleaned enough though."
"For Christmas lunch we had a Waitrose turkey, after preparing it (emptying the cavity (neck) and dressing it with herbs and bacon) and after 3.5 hours in the oven and leaving it to rest we notice the plastic bag of giblets from under neck end skin flap. This was really concerning due to the plastic packaging and not knowing if it had ruined the turkey. I do not understand why the giblets were not in the main cavity where I have always found them in 25 years of of cooking Christmas turkey. Can you confirm that cooking the turkey with the plastic giblets bag has not cause us any harm? And in future could you ensure that the giblets are in an obvious place for removal."
