"I am extremely disappointed with my experience at Screwfix last night. I had to replace my leaking kitchen tap and I needed a 15 x 10mm Reducing Coupler Compression. I went to Screwfix with the 2 pipes that I wanted to connect together. Beth (I think that's her name) was at the checkout and I have to say she wasn't helpful at all! Her: "What is the name of the piece?", me: "I am afraid I don't know the name but I know it exists and it connects that pipe with that pipe", her: "You have to give me the name"... Looking at the kitchen tap vendor's website, I managed to find the name of male coupler that I passed on to Beth thinking everything was going to be ok. Her: "What size", me: "on one side this size and on the other side this size (showing my 2 pipes)", her: "No, what size" ... Very hostile conversation. Clearly customer focused, friendly, approachable are not part of the training given to this employee !!! I spoke then with the store manager Helen who was not an ounce any amicable! She clearly said "it just does not exist what you are looking for, Beth has looked for you and it is not available. You will be better of contacting a plumber, a professionnal". What a patronising advice! I left the store empty hands and rather furious. Please advice Beth and Helen that what I was looking for is available in the Screwfix catalogue, products 51238 and 7749G, either would have been just fine. Failed sale on both Helen and Beth."
"The Pudsey branch is a small store but they seem to have most stuff and the staff are very good. 24 hours to wait to get something in stock isn't too long or Horsforth isn't very far for the odd occasions they don't have something."
