Reviews of The Bulls Head
"Excellent cheery service, good beer and food at a reasonable price. It's a winning formula that my village pub, as its stands empty again, could adopt. It's not hard!! Keep up the good work"
"Had a lovely lunch here. Friendly service. Good coffee to start with. Fish and chips for me. Choice of mushy or garden peas. Tartare sauce. Very hot and tasty.. Good size portion with lovely thin batter. Nice buzz going on. Very nice."
"Nice vibrant local, food looks good but I have not tasted it yet. Been in twice recently and the beer has been very good. Impressed and I will come back again."
"Lovely pub run by lovely people. Arriving here was my only real quarm, which is of no fault of the lovely people that run it. The pub has no parking, but being a traditional village pub this is understandable. We were warmly welcomed (and recognised from a previous visit) by Becky and her son (Cody, Connor, callum??) and proceeded to order from the menu. One thing I would like to note is that the menu is not set to just what is on there and is fully adaptable. I ordered a mixed grill with black pudding (pictured) and ordering a side of onion rings and mushrooms was no trouble at all (this was an afterthought on my part). The wife had fish and chips. Everything was cooked perfectly and with pride by Becky. I almost finished it but I blame the pint of Guinness for leaving a few scraps. The fish had a light gluten free batter and cooked to a very high standard (even Gordon Ramsay would approve). Cody (Connor, callum??) even came to open sauce packets for us as we are both inept at opening sachets. Overall our visit was enjoyable and we felt very comfortable there. Thank you so much for having us."
"Sat in the sunshine enjoying lunch with my husband this afternoon and honestly the food and the service are exceptional. The staff are attentive, friendly and couldn't do enough to make us feel welcomed. We ordered from the new menu, pizza, wings and loaded chips and the food was quickly served and was delicious. Everything was excellent and definitely value for money. Can't wait until we can come back again."
