"Found this pub at the end of a rather long walk. Lovely atmosphere. We sat by the log burner. Food ordered and came very quickly. Food fantastic. Had a sandwich with chips and salad. Sadly don't have a photo. I gad the hot turkey, cranberry and Stuffing. Yummy"
"Popped into this pub for a quick drink after a lovely walk from Saddington to Gumley and back. The pub is dog friendly. You have to take your boots off which is quite right. Dogs need to enter. The welcome was very warm. The beers were very nice. Great atmosphere and lovely chats with lots of other customers. We had a really lovely time. They offer their home made pies to take away. We weren't tempted but others said how good they were. We went in January so it was very cold outside and the children's play area was empty but it had lots of different rides."
"We stumbled across this little gem last night. The kerbside appeal was what drew us in initially. The inside did not disappoint! The food was absolutely out of this world. The BEST roast dinner I have ever eaten and my 4yr old 'fussy eater' ate every bite of his burger and chips. My husband had the stuffed chicken breast, and he too polished it off. The staff were great. Welcoming and friendly. We will definitely be back!"
