"I had a very expensive cup of tea that was served carelessly and impersonally. I may as well had been given a tea bag and cup and told where the hot water and milk was. Also, almost everyone in the cafe were using disposable cups. I had to ask specifically for a proper teacup otherwise I too would have got a disposable one. This is understandable if you need to take your drink away, but in this day and age when we are supposedly trying to use the world's resources more responsibly which includes reducing waste, surely large organisations such as Starbucks should be leading the way. I am sorry that this sounds a bit of a rant, but I feel strongly about this as this could easily be changed. I hope Starbucks and Union House would in future take specific action to conserve the world's resources and show love and care for both planet and people."
"Enter this place at your peril. It's chaos starting with the parking which is utterly ridiculous and expensive. Inside is no better. I have never seen anyone clean in that place and the cleaning staff always seen to group up having conversations with each other instead of working. It just isn't clean enough for a hospital. The eye clinic is a nightmare always overbooked and on one occasion a whole clinic had been booked I attended only to be told that the staff in charge of bookings had booked the clinic knowing that the doctor was in surgery and unable to take a clinic. This I was told by staff was not a one off. So attending was an utter waste of time and money and not even an apology. Its the worst hospital I've ever had to attend. I hate the place."
"Not a nice experience. Vastly overpriced (£3.05 for a small cup of coffee and two shortbread biscuits)! Will definitely be avoiding in the future, especially as the hospital's own restaurant is next door, with friendlier staff and far more reasonable prices. Not been to a Starbucks before and on this evidence will not be vivifying one again. Not recommended."
"I popped in for a routine blood test. I booked online yesterday for an 11.20 slot today. I arrived, checked in, did my blood and was out again by 11.30 so no complaints from me on that score! The downside is the parking at the hospital, very hit and miss in terms of availability and it's not cheap if you're going to be there for a while. There's a pretty reliable bus service 2 minutes walk from the hospital so that's an option. Inside is generally busy but there are a couple of shops, M&S for example, serving drinks and snacks as well as a cafe/restaurant. Definitely book online if you possibly can!!"
"I was most disappointed went to eye department always check the day before. But the booking office only did the date and 2019. Was so mad and had to pay over £3 for car park. The only good thing the lady behind the desk sorted it all out. Now have to wait for another appointment."
