"Extremely rude owner thinks she is better than the people she is serving maybe time to hang up the boots to someone with half an once of customer service skills"
"The Little Coffee House Owner, Eleanor is one of the most generous, kind and thoughtful people l have ever met, and has gone to great lengths to ensure her most vulnerable customers could safely enjoy a drink and a snack during a global pandemic. Hygiene comes top of her list. The young ladies that work for her are always incredibly friendly and efficient, the food is tasty and plentiful, and of the highest standard."
"This place is amazing. Amazing because firms put millions into customer service each year, and this establishment does all of the opposite and manages to stay in business. The first hurdle to negotiate is the signs. There's loads of them. Allow yourself a good ten or fifteen minutes to absorb what you are and aren't allowed to do. For example, while the intention to keep the seats free for the elderly and infirm is to be applauded, the actual execution of this rule is bizarre at best. Perhaps you have to look like you fit into those categories before you sit down. But rest assured, after it's taken you all the time to read the signs, you may very well be elderly so it's all good. The next thing to remember is cash. Yes, good old cash. In a world which is moving to a contactless society, this place only accepts hard cash. The owner says it's because "I don't believe in a cashless society" which is fine if you don't run a cafe in the middle of a park but unfortunately, she does. The real reason I suspect is that she wants to avoid the merchant charges associated with contactless payments but let's not go there. I strongly advise you obey all the rules and go along with whatever the owner tells you. Do not question her. If you do, she may well do what she did to me and nick off and mutter to her staff out of sight. Not out of earshot though were you love? All in all, this experience is akin to what I expect it was like trying to get food in a post war Eastern Bloc country."
"Wow! From the outside this looked very inviting, nice and clean, gorgeous looking cakes. Looks can be deceiving. We were out in a small group of Mums whose children wanted ice creams and us Mums wanted coffee and cake. NOT possible! The ice cream was take away only and no chance that we could relax with our refreshments if our children aren’t allowed to sit with us!! When we politely asked why we were met with a really bad attitude from the owner. Ranting on about licensing and the council. Basically she was too tight to get the proper licence and also thought the only way to make any money was by effectively blocking any other ice cream vans in the park. But this meant that she missed out on our custom! We won’t be back for ice cream either it was the worst ice cream the kids had ever tasted!!"
